Lowered car on the Ferry

So I'm going on a little trip to the Island on the long weekend just wondering if the ferries are somewhat lowered car friendly. I'm not slammed or anything but I scrape on retardedly high speed bumps, I don't mind if I scrape either.

any help is appreciated!

You'll be fine. Every car I've brought on the ferry has been lowered, more than what I'm seeing in those pics.

I had this stupid thing on there no problem. You will be fine as long as you are used to driving a lowered car.

You'll be fine on the big ferries, top deck ramp doesn't have a lot of angle on it, bottom deck is basically flat.
Some gulf island smaller ferries have a bit more incline, still nothing to worry about though, I just take it a bit sideways like large speed bumps to avoid any potential issues.

When was this picture taken? How hot was it that day? How long was the ferry ride? Why didn't you roll down your window? Do you even understand dogs and overheating? Jeez..

Spoiler!

You'll be fine, I had cars lower then yours and I got on the ferry with no problems, you can request to go to the lower deck if you're scared about scrapping, that's what I did.

tide will play a big part in the angle of the ramps, but if you're worried, when you buy your ticket ask if you can be on the top deck. most cars go on the top deck anyway, as they put all the commercial trucks on the bottom deck.

Somewhat related and a pro tip:

It's the long weekend. Obey the speed limits to the tee. RCMP and regional police will be out there, especially on the way back to the ferry terminal. It goes from 90, to 50, to 20 in a matter of seconds.

i thought it was the lower deck which was 'lowered' car friendly?

i went over last yr with a protruding ricer lip and i found the lower deck to be a better.

but of course, yes, tide will play a big part.

The Lower deck is lower (where the Semis go on) The top deck has a steep ramp that goes down. I am lower than you and I can make it on booth lower and top deck just take it slow and angle your car.

If you are worried you can request to be on the lower deck when you buy your ticket, but you should be fine.

Holy shit man that GS is nothing, first of all you don't even have a body kit. Even with a body kit you would be JUST FINE. My 2cents.

I just cleared my front bumper on the ferry with a little bit of angling, but that's because my front bumper sticks out pretty far. Your car will be fine, don't worry about it

Agreed, but more so for the gulf island ferries... as for the 'big' boats, you'll have zero issues. Even with the gulf island ferries, it's only sorta questionable when it's a crazy low/high tide.

Haven't been on the ferry in a while, just gauging to see what I'm up against. But thanks for the input

Anytime I commute back and forth from Victoria/Vancouver I request the bottom deck because it's more level and if the tides are not ideal the ferry workers have just gone ahead and adjusted the ramp specifically for my car multiple times. They've always been really accomodating and I've made it on with no issue.
