High Speed vibration after new rims/tires installed ? I have got a 2014 MB E550 4MATIC The car was lowered a month ago, and no rubbing no issue at all. It was with 18inch stock rims/tires. Today, just got new rims / tires installed. They are 20inch rims. But the shop didn't do the alignment. Now, when driving on regular street 40~60km/h The vibration is not very noticeable. But on High Way, speed around 90~110km/h The vibration is quite noticeable. What is the real cause of this vibration ??? |
Wheels not balanced? |
For the vibration, I'd suspect one or both of the front wheels are out of balance. Do you have hubcentric rings installed? Did you get an alignment after it was lowered? |

I have booked alignment Aug 5th with TSS. Hopefully, we can find the issue. |

But I assume they did not install these. I am not sure if the alignment was done after lowered. But my car had no issue after lowered though with stock rims/tires. |
improper wheel balance, not alignment |

You will be in good hands. Wheel off balance is my guess as well. Not Alignment |
