Buying a car with a box 2 VI? I am looking to buy a vehicle, but it has a box 2 vi. Can the title still be transferred into my name? I've searched around the web, and found conflicting answers. |
I'm sure someone here will eventually give you the correct info but if you want the straight goods, call ICBC. |
I don't know the answer to this question and I'm not going to pretend to know it. But why would you want to buy a car with a Box 2 VI that still needs the VI done? |
why are u asking on a forum when you can just call icbc and get an answer within like 10 seconds |
Kinda curious aswell as to why you want a car if it has a box 2 VI on it.. You know they compare everything to factory specs.. so if the cars modded you're most likely opening a can of worms onto yourself. |
Title can be transferred, but the vehicle cannot be insured. |
You can buy it but you can't insure it without passing the VI. |
Fucking Nolan. |
If the VI type 2 is over 30 days, you cannot buy a permit (TOP) or buy insurance with license plate.. If it's also over 30 days, the vehicle must be towed or transported to the repair facility and also the inspection facility. |
Can't remeber which type i got, but the cop who gave it to me WAS THE BIGGEST GOOF EVER! I wouldnt say that for no reason. This guy was a the worst ass-fucking-hole cop i've ever encountered!! my word! I don't care to go into detail take my word. Motorcycle cop. Cost me about $500 in entirety. Nothing crazy about my car at the time, just wheels poked out a bit cambered and low. He fucked me good. |
