Standard troubleshooting, but can you connect to any other wifi points? Reboot your router anyway as well.

Yep start by rebooting the phone. If that's a no go then use iTunes to do a backup and restore.

is your iphone 6 wifi icon greyed out? like you can't press it?

cause that happened to me for my iphone 6. I did a hard reboot plus restore but didn't work. I took it to the apple store for the 1 year manufacture warranty and they replaced it.

Check to see if your Maps/Google maps works. I had similar issues with my old iphone 6. I was able to get perfect connection via data and when my phone was in close proximity to the router, but maps was unable to correctly guide me anywhere.

After doing some research online, it seems to be due to the network card failing/frying and is pretty common apparently.

tldr; fuck iphone6

Has any body replace the battery on the 6s yet?

Mines on the recall list and I'm bringing it in tomorrow to have the battery replaced. I have no idea if it fixed the problem.

Not related to the above issues but anyone feel Siri really is subpar compared to Google Now? Google will piece together whatever broken sentence you utter and makes sense of it and it usually is what you're looking for. Siri is just blah. Having used Android the past 6 years, only thing I miss is native Google Now.

My iPhone 6 also seems to have a battery issue (drains really quick, and when you plug it in, it shoots up in battery percentage). This was after the iOS 10 update.

I've tried almost everything to fix it, but I think my battery is done.
Not sure if the recall of 6s relates with the 6 as well...

^ no. But if it's a 6 you prob had it for about 2 years if not more. Maybe time for new battery.

The recall only applied to a limited range of 6S units. The manufacture date for them was between Sept - Oct 2015.

You can always check though on their page to see if your serial number qualifies. I'm guessing it won't because it's a 6, it won't but doesn't hurt to check.

So, I have a launch day iPhone6 still... yah it's old and the battery has gone to shit, but it still works and it's reasonably quick still since I have continually resisted the ios10 update.............. my problem is the fucking charging port issue which seems to be a bane of every lightning cabled iPhone nowadays... no matter what cables I use (Apple original or otherwise), sometimes I have to plug it in once, sometimes 50+ times before it stops showing the dreaded "This accessory may not be supported" message... does anyone know if changing out the charging port can remedy this? Any suggestions on a shop to go to? The sponsor on here was a dick on the phone when I phoned them and has less than stellar reviews.

Same thing happened to me. I went to Apple store as my warranty was still valid then and they found my charging port was packed with lint. Try cleaning it out carefully with a paper clip or something

Went to replace the charging port at a shop... they tried 3 different brand new ones... does the same thing with all of them. Tech was totally stumped... not really sure what my options are now besides getting a new phone

At least he didn't charge me anything, wouldn't even take a few bucks for his time.
