I'm not sure if that would be considered offside by beacon. I'm OK if you do but not sure if ins company would care. |
i'm not sure haha. usually people are trying to replace aftermarket with stock. not the other way around. with icbc at least, they don't mind as long as you replace it with something... not sure about beacon though. |
Ya they might be getting a part that is worth more for their salvage price lol |
Do you still have possession of the bike? I have my stock 2012 one that I can swap in, that way I can keep the Yoshi instead of it going to wreckers or salvage people. Let me know if this interest you. Email me please Niteraven@niteshadow.ca |
Any updates? |
Beacon is slow. I was told I'd have a cheque waiting for me friday for gear replacement and tow fee I had to pay. The wait continues. |

I wonder if it would be worth shopping around for another motorcycle insurance company. I'll try BCAA next year. I know they're a bit more expensive but still less than ICBC, and everyone has generally been happy with the claims process through BCAA. |
Got my new shiny gear! Modern hooked me up and I was able to get better/more gear than what I initially had. Got a RPHA 10 as per suggestions and after I put it on I liked the fit. Gloves/Jacket were direct replacement for what I had and picked up new pants that I never had (AGV). Starting to feel like things are moving forward. |
Any news on how icbc is going to payout? |
2 1/2 months in. Beacon has said no to 6600 and standing firm on 5k even after I showed receipts. Going to have to talk to the broker who sold it and try to get the amount higher. |
