What did you do with your loved one? Hello, So I'm at the final stages of my pets life. And I've been forced to go through the process of putting him to sleep. What did you guys do with your pets body after it died? Thank you. |
cremated through the vet and she's in an urn beside a little cockerspaniel plush. |
The cats, we just left with the vet. Same with Minnie, though I'm wishing we'd kept her ashes now. With Taffy, I was holding her when she went, wrapped in the little afghan we got with her... we had the house then so I found a spot under a tree in the corner of the back yard and we buried her there in her afghan. There's a little plant growing there now, and my wife and our friend painted up a nice memorial rock that's sitting on the fireplace mantle. I think when the other pups' time comes, we'll find them a nice spot in the yard too. Edit: :QQ: :QQ: |
Fuck this is something i hate even thinking about.. Knight is just such a goofball that I cant imagine living without him. But I know it will come to an end one day and I'm trying my best to make peace with it. When the time does come however, he will be cremated and I intend on keeping his ashes. I also plan on getting a tattoo of him somewhere on me as well. Feel so bad for your situation OP. Hope you're doing alright. |
Cremated, there is a pet crematorium in North Van we used. Then took the urn and buried it in the cemetary next to our loved ones grave. |
GF has all 3 of her family dogs buried in the backyard beside each other. It's been a rough few years for her family. |

Our big Great Dane is on his last leg, literally. He has cancer in his front leg, and while he still thinks he's a puppy, he's not going to last much longer. Right now he's on a mix of medications to ensure his quality of life. Like I said, he's still a puppy in his mind. It's his body that's a different story. I really hope his end comes naturally. I envision him 3 legged trotting through the long grass one day, when he slows to a stop, lays down, and closes his eyes for the last time. If that happens, he'll be buried in his favorite field. Maybe we could plant a dogwood tree? goddammit....... now I'm thinking about this. We've really never had a dog who is such a huge part of the family. He has always been a warrior, chasing off coyotes and raccoons when they get too close. But gentle as a lamb around the family and our pets. Because of his warrior/hunter heritage, I always wanted to give him a viking sendoff. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...010b245f93.jpg Too bad the chicks don't like that idea. :yuno: |
