any feedback concerning the size differences of the two?

The thinness of the 6P lends itself to being very pocketable however the phone is still pretty wide and fairly tall. If you want to compare the size of the 6P I would suggest going to take a look at the iphone 6 plus. The 6P is slightly narrower and slightly taller than the iphone but will give you a good idea of the size. Also I know Bell dealers have recieved dummy models of the 6P so check those out.

Tight hipster jeans need not apply. I do wonder if the phone would bend in tight jeans though.

cool- thanks for the input djstyles.

When comparing the 5X to 1+1 I am liking the 1+1 more right now.
1+1 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm (6.02 x 2.99 x 0.35 in) weighs in 162g
5x 147 x 72.6 x 7.9 mm (5.79 x 2.86 x 0.31 in) weights in 136g
Screen size ratio for 1+1 5.5 inches (~71.9% screen-to-body ratio)
Screen size ratio for 5x 5.2 inches (~70.2% screen-to-body ratio)
5x have thicker bezel than the 1+1 and when I compare the phone side by side I could tell. Also I am use to capacitive buttons so I don't waste room on the display. The 5X only have on screen buttons so that makes the screen even smaller to me. Brightness seems ok but I would like to be more bright.
Both phones feels pretty smooth to use. No lag at all. Both phone seems to charge pretty fast (Haven't really time to see which phone charge faster and since battery size are different is hard to measure). I usually charge my phone overnight so it doesn't matter too much if the phone have quick charging or not.
5x is a one a handed phone assuming the case you got isn't too thick. I can use the phone fine with one hand with no case. As soon as I put on a case it felt unconfortable for one hand use. 1+1 is a 2hand phone for sure.
The 1+1 actually feels nicer in the head I guess coz of the curve design. 1+1 also feels more premium. The screen color is a lot brighter.

Haven't had any bugs at all on both phones. I do wish there is a 64GB version for the 5x. With my music and picture I only have about 10GB left on my 5X. One thing I like about the 5x is the fingerprint scanner. Really easy to unlock your phone and the placement is perfect. What I found werid is that google put with power and volume button on the same side and I get confuse sometimes as to which button i am hitting. Picture quality I think they are both great. Take decent pic to upload onto fb.

lol wtf. you've been shitting on the OPO so hard for the longest time, and now you "haven't had any bugs" on it?

Unless you mean OPT and not OPO, then :inout:

O+O still have its issues. One thing battery drain is quite high when phone is on standby. Instead of using CM I am using Oxygen OS. Seems to make things better but there are stuff some weird issue with some apps (but I don't use them much so that's fine). Phone was off the hook at 7am and now it is 8:46am and the battery is down to 94%. Didn't play games, view webpages, GPS is off and maybe about 40mins of music. Normally with the iphone or even 5x it would use maybe 2% of battery life. I feel Oxygen OS is having some issue with standby time. Camera isn't the best when you compare it with iPhones 5s or later. It takes a lot longer to save a pic.

When you compare the 1+1 to the 5X it seems the 5x is built too big for the screen size and the screen isn't bright enough. That's the issue I am having with it at the moment.

LTE support for Canada is HORRENDOUS... your kidding right...

2G bands GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 - SIM 1 & SIM 2
3G bands HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G bands LTE band 1(2100), 3(1800), 7(2600), 38(2600), 39(1900), 40(2300), 41(2500)
GPRS Yes
EDGE Yes

Please dont suggest a phone whos LTE support is inferior to the Nexus line, which supports pretty much most of the LTE bands out currently...

Yes more phones made in China don't support 3g or LTE in N.A. But if it could.... man I wouldn't mind getting one and trying it out just for kicks since they are so cheap!

At this point with cellphones, specs are reaching a point of diminishing returns. Definitely camera and batteries can be improved but the overall user experience is far more important. The best example of this is the iPhone.

Based on Benson's review of the braided USB cable I found the same ones on eBay:

Genuine Heavy Duty Nylon Braided USB 3 1 Type C Data Sync Charger Charging Cable | eBay

I bought 5 of them. Hopefully they're good.

Nice photos! Any more low light photos?
How do you find the lack of OIS?

Yep i have a couple more. The next two shots were taken in low light with HDR on.

As for the lack of OIS it is not an issue for photos but becomes apparent when taking video. I don't have the steadiest hands so I much appreciated the OIS on my last phone the Galaxy S6. If you have steady surgeon's hands then not having OIS shouldn't be a huge issue.

djstyles 11-19-2015 04:08 PM

Some more low light pictures. HDR is on auto for these shots

Overall very impressed by the capabilities of this camera in most situations.

For anyone who's interested there is a cell shop at Crystal mall that just got tempered glass protectors for the 6P in for $18. They have the correct cutout for the proximity sensor as well.

If you can actually buy one. I check several times a day and is always out of order.

!MiKrofT 11-22-2015 04:15 PM

It's more like if the case can fit the screen protector. I'm ok with the Ringke one. I just ordered a MIME one cause they're my favourite ones.

Some companies are releasing an edge to edge version and a case friendly version. I know intelliARMOUR said on XDA that they will be releasing 2 types.
