Can't decide which one is better. 5X is the perfect size but only 16 and 32GB option and only 2 GB of RAM. 6P have awesome specs but a bit big for my liking.....

marshmellow is here!!!
been using the m preview for a few weeks and lemme say this
battery life has been amazing

Gucci Mane 10-06-2015 12:44 PM

so i wasn't sure about the 6P having a notification light, found some spec sheets on both of the phones and the 6P does have a notification light. the 5x however doesn't. kinda sucks for those considering the 5x.

Coren 10-06-2015 04:12 PM

The 5x is supposed have one. Confirmed by google VP of engineering david birk by email from android police

Well, we've confirmed there's an LED on the 5X too. How? We bothered Google VP of Engineering Dave Burke via email. He was kind enough to explain what's going on.

The omission of the LED from the 5X's spec list is a mistake, but it should be corrected soon. The LED is behind the speaker grille on the bottom of the phone. Burke explains that this is a real notification LED, not like that fake LED on the Nexus 6 that only worked with root.
The Nexus 5X Does Have A True RGB Notification LED Just Like The 6P, But It's Missing From The Spec List

just like the 6, missing notification light, can be enabled via root

few more missing features not spec'd is

1. system UI tuner (allows user to customize the notification dock, add battery % etc)
2. Multi-Window support

Google Store now showing October 22nd ship date for the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P could arrive as soon as October 13th

!MiKrofT 10-12-2015 05:28 PM

It says that it's leaving the warehouse by October 19th for me.

I'm a bit undecided if I should stick with my LG G4 or go for the Nexus though.

Both are about the same price outright.. both have comparable cameras from what I've seen.. It's just choosing between all the different ROM options vs. expandable storage/replaceable battery.

I would say if you like big screen phones then LG G4. If you want a phone that fits in your pocket confrotably then Nexus 5x.

If you have a lot of music, movies you keep on your phone then LG G4 for the SD card slot.

Must be just the 5X's that are shipping first. I ordered the 6P

Razor Ramon HG 10-13-2015 12:03 AM

For people that have previously ordered from Google, how long does it take? I might order one from Google and return it if I don't like it. I feel like we won't be carrying them at Wind until at least early November.

When Google announced the LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P it promised Canadian availability by the end of October. In addition to being available through the Google Store, the company confirmed to us that the new Android 6.0-based devices will be available at many Canadian carriers, including Bell, Telus, Rogers, SaskTel, Wind and Videotron.

Today, we know a Canadian release date. On Facebook, a Bell representative stated that the Nexus 6P will be available to purchase on Monday, October 26th. No word on its pricing, but it will likely line up with Rogers at $199.99 on a 2-year contract, or $699.99 outright.

No word on when the Nexus 5X will be available, but according to Google, it will be leaving the warehouse on October 19th.
