Thinking of getting the 128GB 6P but the the back camera looks ugly. The 5X looks good but only have 16 or 32GB version and only 2GB or ram so might not be very future prof.

tomatogunk 09-29-2015 02:44 PM

Was that $838 in USD?

Drow 09-29-2015 02:45 PM

No 838 CAD after everything. Got fckin juked by that "starts at 549!" price

Traum 09-29-2015 02:47 PM

According to Mobile Syrup:

Nexus 6P:
32GB: $699
64GB: $749
128GB: $849

Nexus 5X:
16GB: $499
32GB: $559

The Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P will come to Canada by 'the end of October' | MobileSyrup.com

At this point in time, the Blackberry Priv looks more interesting than the Nexus. :fullofwin:

m3thods 09-29-2015 04:11 PM

The Nexus 5X is the same price as a Moto X Play. Being unlocked out of the box and possessing a faster processor, there isn't much benefit to going with the 5X. The fingerprint sensor in theory sounds cool, but I'd take water-resistance over that.

StylinRed 09-29-2015 04:39 PM

saw the articles this morning, they look interesting! was going to make a thread when i saw one missing but was lazy ;)

the camera for the 5x sounds interesting! potentially...

$838 for a Huawei...wow, i know the mate s is pricey too, but still

Worth upgrading from nexus6...mayyybeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

3klipze 09-29-2015 05:47 PM

Was waiting for this. Made my choice to get the Pure X edition and get it shipped to Point Roberts (Or the 1+2 if I get an invite). Not liking the 5X look

roflwaffle604 09-29-2015 05:50 PM

Was considering upgrading from my 1st gen Nex5 for the 5X but it doesn't seem its enough of an upgrade to do so. While I can make do with the 16gb of storage, the 2gb of ram is pretty disappointing.

FerrariEnzo 09-29-2015 06:18 PM

man... They shouldnt use the Nexus name anymore.. The nexus name was known for its pure androidness and low price... this sucks

Drow 09-29-2015 07:19 PM

Nexus 6 looks like my ass sry

Main reason i didnt upgrade from n5

6p to me the less ass-looking version of the 6

Finger print reader sounds like a huge gimmick but once you've used a well implemented one (i.e. iPhone 6 or Galaxy S6) it really makes you wonder how you ever really lived without it -- dem ergonomics :sweetjesus:

$499 seems like a reasonable price for top of the line phone with latest google update.
Just that our dollar suck ;c

Razor Ramon HG 09-30-2015 12:19 AM

Jesus, apparently it beat out the G4 or at least tied it according to DXO - Google Nexus 6P review: Serious contender for mobile photography - DxOMark

FerrariEnzo 09-30-2015 06:59 AM

Im thinking of the MotoX Pure is better deal...

I was under the impression that the prices I quoted (from Mobile Syrup) are Canadian prices, not US prices? I can certainly be wrong though.

IC. Thought bobola was referring to the 5X price.

Drow 09-30-2015 10:24 AM

Cancelled my order

Re-ordered the frost color instead. Graphite doesnt seem to show that silver ring around the phone
