Didn't watch the video since at work but what did they set as the benchmark? Did they test it on the dyno before the recall?

Ahh just found the article on Jalopnik too. VW set a mode that if only the drive wheels are in motion it detects that its getting tested activating cheats for emissions whereas if all 4 wheels are spinning it detects that its actually on the road NOT being tested. For your non-video people:
