Does anyone know if Koodo's self serve allows you to pick a brand new number?
My current number has telemarketers and collection agencies constantly calling due to some deadbeat that used to own this number. If i were to switch to this plan, im just wondering if I can just assign a new number instead of porting my existing one over.

I have been on this plan since 2014 no issues so far. Service is a bit spotty sometimes but overall its great.

does it still work in june? just got switched to $45 for unlimited data on mobilicity about a week ago.... but 5gb ie enough to satisfy my needs for better connection.
mobilicity is too slow for twitch.tv app (streaming games, and HD youtube, and snapchat)

Method I did Sept2015 for myself no longer works (start manitoba plan first then porting over)
OP's method still works im guessing? Gonna do it for my friend!!

spoke with a rep about it, said its fraud and they contact you after you port your number... forces you to switch to another plan. Was with a dude from metrotown as well. Said he had 10+ cases about it the past two weeks he said about koodo calling back people
maybe I should ask richmond people cause they are always down for dirty money  
maybe I shouldnt even bother asking but I am worried that I will stick to Koodo and get my ass handled by their reps
