Wheel Repair Shops

There's probably a thread or two buried in this forum somewhere stone ages ago, just wanted to hear recent recommendations if any have.

I curbed one of my rim and the damage is about 5-6cm on the edge. It's glossy black. I am planning to DIY (Sand it down and touch it up with black paint) due to daily driver, wear and tear.

However, I asked 2 positive review shops I read online for quotes anyways to see what the going rates are for rim repair.

Western Wheelcraft quoted $225 and will take all day.
Renewz Wheel Repair quoted $100 and will take 3 hours.

Both shops have good reviews online, but gives between the cost difference?

if only there was a search function

Anyhow im just guessing but for $225 you are getting the tire taken off and remounted and balanced to do the job properly
For $100 and 3 hrs, i would run the fuck away.
