Does anyone do coding for BMW's here? Looking for someone to code my 2007 e92 328xi for me. Been doing some research the past few days and I believe my build date is Jan 2007, so I have the FRMFA module. Basically just looking to code a few things; Fog light check off Reverse light check off Angel eye always on full bright If you guys know anyone that's able to code, or has a bit of knowledge on it please let me know. Was going to tackle it myself but I've heard and read about people bricking their lighting modules so I would like to just leave it to someone with more experience at this point, rather than having to spend a bunch of money replacing something if I fuck it up :s |

You seriously can't fuck it up. If you screw it up, just recode the module with a blank config file, it will reset itself back to factory default. There's a reason why every single module has their own copy of $VO |
Was reading this and it freaked me out lol BMWhat Carly Killed Lighting System |
Thats because they tried to flash the rom. Its whole different game. You just want to disable some bulb checks and settings, those only touch config files, if you screw up it takes 30sec to reset to factory default. |
Welp, sucked it up and bought a cable. Guess we'll see how it goes aha |
I've got a computer if you want to bring your car over and play around with it yourself :p |
Bump, after hours of playing around with stupid drivers and programs I finally successfully coded my e92 :D turned off my headlight ambers so they only turn on when I signal instead of turning on with the parking light, hold start button to eject key when the car turns off, close windows and sunroof with key fob, turn off light checks so LEDs don't flicker, etcetc. If anyone with an e9x wants to code their car lmk! |
Hey I have 2 codes to disable the e-diff (I have a mechanical LSD installed) that I would love to try to set in my e82 - could you help me out with that? Mark |
Yeah I'm down to try to help in my free time. Although I'm not familiar with coding for e82's and I'll have to do some reading up on it, I think it should be similar. Although it's slim, just be warned though there's always a chance of something messing up and bricking the module that is being flashed. Hasn't happened to me so far and I've coded my car about 6 different times to try different things, but there's always a possibility that people have to be prepared for :s If everything goes smoothly it shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes |
this is the newest thread I could find, so a bit of a thread resurrection but I figured better than starting another thread. Does anyone on here have ISTA+, ISTA D or Rheingold? I only have INPA and tool32. the mode I need to access can't be accessed with the coding tools I have. |
