JDM Drift Lambo

I'd like to think the title is pretty self explanatory

E-SPEC 10-26-2015 01:12 PM

This drift scene is going too far. They just wrecked a great car.

rJZx 10-26-2015 01:19 PM

^I would rather see this than a "built" wrapped lambo with a N on the back

E-SPEC 10-26-2015 01:26 PM

Hell ya me too. We can see that in Richmond 7 days a week.

evlee 10-26-2015 01:33 PM

Thats cool to see

I really don't understand these comments, it's not like they took some 1/1 vintage car with racing pedigree and tore it apart.

They took a murci, which was never a rare lambo, nor was it a limited production car.

And wrecking is hardly what I would call what they did. They took the car, a car of unknown condition (couldve been a damaged car previously), and they built it with a purpose, and given the team involved, it's probably done right. So I hardly say they wrecked it.

EDIT: I'm surpirsed you aren't more offended by that LFA drift car, that's like what 1 of 400?

CorneringArtist 10-26-2015 02:10 PM

That LFA was flood damaged, so it was a perfect candidate for drift modification. Besides, they ripped out the V10 for a NASCAR V8 for reliability.

underscore 10-26-2015 03:06 PM

^ I'm also guessing the V10 could be sold for a hell of a lot of money too.

I don't like seeing rare cars effectively destroyed, but on the flip side if they've effectively been destroyed already (ie no longer usable as a road car due to damage) then I'm all for keeping them alive a bit longer via motorsport.

bluejays 10-26-2015 03:32 PM

People still like Liberty Walk? #whatsnext?

white rocket 10-26-2015 03:38 PM

Fuck wrecking a great car. Especially if it's already got some "taint" against it. Pushing the limits is why we are here. Props to those with the balls to do this. Bet it's a monster.

I can say that easily because I fucking hate Lambo's. Seeing them get some use on a closed course is better than seeing them wrapped with an "N" or wrapped around a pole with an "N".

underscore 10-26-2015 03:42 PM

On a side note the thread title looks like it came from the bottom of a Craigslist car ad

pherio 10-26-2015 03:46 PM

2nd video the camera op must've been spankin it. Cripes that camera shake, it's like having a seizure.

ae101 10-26-2015 08:27 PM

Guess i was more less referring to how drifting seems to be over-popular. And completely taking apart a high end car seems a little silly to me just for making the back end kick out to go around a track, more less.

thumper 10-27-2015 05:13 AM

little bit more about it here....

from what little i know, the daigo got the car pretty much as a shell from liberty walk.

thumper 10-27-2015 05:17 AM

maybe supercar drifting is going to be the next latest craze i dunno....
