it’s gonna be hard to put together a authentic Ctr and all the labour and parts it has on there for 15 k nowadays. I think it’s a really fun daily and good value to your investment and the nostalgia everyone gets seeing a minty Ctr daily chugging along on the streets and not tucked away.

Iron Chef 10-27-2018 09:32 PM

That ctr looked a little smokey on decel in the roads untraveled vid. I wouldn’t call the motor built. It’s basically a stock Itr motor.

R1CED` 10-27-2018 09:48 PM

RHD for daily :heckno:

lol when labour costs are factored into the resale

got fooled by the Rota's haha

VR6GTI 10-28-2018 06:06 AM

Does the tach work yet?

white rocket 10-29-2018 07:55 AM

Nice EK9 but that Spoon horn button looks fake to me. The ring is incorrect and the face looks too flat. Throwing ITR B18C bottom end parts in a B16B does not make it a "built" motor, especially since it smoked pretty bad in the video. If anything it takes away from the originality of the EK9 motor itself. Even considering a car to be a "Spoon" car without having the staple SW388 wheels is a bit cheese bag, especially since reps are sitting in their place. With that said, a $10K price would seem more reasonable and could be a good starting point for either a track car or a full-out resto.

<-----not knocking it, just observing.

Spoon wing looks fake too. I bet you probably those mirrors are fake as well.

Nothing is genuine spoon on this thing.

On another note, If anyone buy this EK9 and want 'REAL' spoon parts I have a brand new Spoon Carbon Hood, Mirror and Wing sitting at home. lol

R1CED` 10-29-2018 10:09 PM

is the K-series best 4 banger ever made? not only relevant after 17 years but still beating the competition

Anyone know off hand if the Integra Type R side mirrors are the same as the regular one? I need a drivers side one. Color doesn't matter as the car will be painted soon. I saw these on CL but have seen mirrors from a non type r go for $30

https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/...732907288.html

tofu1413 11-02-2018 09:16 AM

same mirrors as standard integra.

tegra7 11-02-2018 09:51 AM

Just make sure they're lhd mirrors, as the rhd mirror lenses are angled differently.

Does anyone have a P73-C03 CDM ITR ecu for sale?
This ecu is for 98 99 CDM only. USDM A03 is different.

Asking for an ITR friend in Quebec who's car is missing the original ecu.

twitchyzero 11-02-2018 02:53 PM

never gonna see the track

TouringTeg 11-03-2018 01:41 PM

The Rywire ITR is a great marketing tool and experiment. Pretty awesome even if it never sees a track.

Been doing maintenance for next season.

Oil and filter change
Stock wheels back on
Diagnose door panel rattle
Rear OE rotors, rear OEM brake pads
Replace ebrake button (pita)
Finally solve CEL P1457 evap after 5 months. Replacement P73-C04 ecu acquired from a friend and immobilizer bypass chip installed.
(discontinued and only 400 00 01 CDM ITR sold)

Wheels are refinished and new A center caps installed.

Looks great! Who did you get to refinish your wheels? and how's the colour match to your car?

VR6GTI 11-03-2018 03:17 PM

Looking great
Judging by the center cap match I’d say probably pretty good

TouringTeg 11-03-2018 03:52 PM

I had Panther do them a few years ago.
They did a good job matching the oem wheel color.

A friend has new OEM ITR wheels he purchased recently and they look nearly identical.

twitchyzero 11-03-2018 11:04 PM

hope that ECU didn't cost you an arm and a leg
probably no more advanced than a floppy drive :lawl:

that Rywire build reminds me of phat_R's copy...anyone know if he still has it?

The Py with the jdm front and j’s racing kit?

OriginalJC 11-04-2018 05:52 AM

Put on two coats of cquartz ceramic yesterday

Also did a carbon wrap on my spoiler

TouringTeg 11-04-2018 05:57 AM

Did the ceramic yourself? How long did it take out of curiosity

Twitchyzero: My old ITR friend who has a PY locally since 04 sold me his spare for what he paid for it years ago: $120 I am happy with that! It was the trips to two shops for evap diagnosis (smoke test, test solenoids for continuity etc) jdm ecu, jumper harness, bypass chip done in California that was expensive lol

If I had to do again and I would just get Hondata

VR6GTI 11-04-2018 06:04 AM

Ceramic coating takes like 20 mins to apply its the prep in getting the car to a swirl free finish that takes the time

What VR6 said is accurate, the prep took a long time. Full clean, clay bar, further decontamination, then ceramic. The first coat took the longest as I let each panel sit 2.5 min to bond before wiping down. Second coat I let it sit about a minute. It turned out well, there is a insane glossy shine. Letting it cure 48 hours.
