what kinda problems? is your's 2017? |

there was a recall on the solenoid that will cause the car to go into limp plastic bits and pieces of the interior falling apart and rattling everywhere. I had the A-pillar replaced failed blower fan the infotainment system kept crashing and they updated it as per service bulletin water kept going in tail lights rear window weather strip keeps falling off.. for a new car. .it is just annoying .. this is just year 1. |
on the forums, alot of people had problems with their transmission ... i havent experienced that.. alot of people had this problem with EP3/ DC5.. i still have my EP3, and never experienced this either in its lifetime. i owned it since 05... and it is an 02 model. |
my dc5 under warranty had the weird dash ticking when turning, fixed mechanically sound since day 1 but the minor things adds up and there's sure better use of my time honestly toyota and honda just aren't as bulletproof as the golden days..the only japanese-branded car i would still buy is probably specialized toyotas and mazdas like the 4runner or miata and maybe some newer subarus...i'm annoyed the newer toyotas have more or less sealed transmissions and that's only dealing with mickey mouse na motors, force induction just adds another layer |

Any other FK8 have some mechanical clicking noise , along with wheel skipping/hopping while turning at very low speed? It happened on my 2018 when it's cold outside. |

wheel hopping? are you on your stock 20"s with Continental SportContact 6? |

https://www.continentaltire.ca/car/t...sportcontact-6 If you plan on driving all year, i recommend getting a set of winter/ 4 seasons . my winter set is much quieter and comforting compared to my stock |
What is your winter tire setup? |
Quote:
i got my rims/ tires from 1010tires in richmond. 18" rims / tires. it was about 1200 fast wheels and nexen winter tires |

I assumed it was the LSD or tires. I also have a creaking sound while driving, only noticeable from the outside or with the window open when the noise can bounce off of something. Not sure what that is. Anyone have any ideas? |

When was your FK8 delivered? I am thinking us FK8 owners shall drive to a Honda dealership at the same time and ask them for a through inspection of the LSD/transmission/suspension. Plus, arriving in a group of FK8s with the same issue should get their attention. |

I was thinking of going in to Honda just cause I'm still under warranty, but haven't found the time yet. Also wanting for them to check out my other creaking noise too. I did think it could be something was stuck in between my rotor dust cover, but again, haven't had a chance to take the wheel off and look at it. |

It happens often. (brakes in pebble) I avoid going on unpaved roads now. i removed my brake calipers at least twice so far to remove pebbles. I have taken my car in and they have taken care most of my concerns. LSD making noise is NORMAL. Brakes making noise is NORMAL. This is what you get with race brakes. (i changed mine to HAWK , so sequel) Suspension noise - peek under your car and look at the roof of your suspension. If you have orange cubes.. it should have been removed from PDI.. remove it if it is there. Summer tires - probably not the best idea to have them on right now. but they are SOOO loud to begin with just normal driving https://www.civicx.com/attachments/b...b0-jpeg.96787/ |
value is probably up a bit after all the recent nostalgic resurgence on the internet |
