The Nurburgring is sometimes pretty scary i was following another Megane 3 RS it was so hard to keep up and some turns are pretty scary. You need to know by heart the circuit to be efficient, specially the braking points. I saw few crashes, one RS4 and one Golf GTI. You have to think before going full gas hahaha.
Any FK8 owners driving stock cars had any issues with the VPD in terms of Cain et al.?
Asking because I am planning on moving back to East Van from Mississauga in the late summer/early fall and I'm feeling rather sketched out. Since my FK8 will be an "out of province import" I will need to have her VI'd anyway and I'm hoping the sticker on the windshield will help. But ultimately I just don't want the hassle of dealing with the pettiness (at least from what I am reading in the VI thread) of the law.
Basically I'm wondering if I should invest in a cheap beater or not.
100% stock on my car, it's still running on the original engine oil.
I bought my CW from Surrey, they don't add the extra accessories and stuff, just sell for MSRP. I put myself on their "list" last August, and by september they had called me about 2 whites and a red.

Yes it may have been. I bet it has sat for many years in a storage compound with VPD. The ICBC report was posted to craigslist and I have a screenshot of it.

Likely has a JDM motor since it was stolen multiple times.

I kind of discredit it. Look at the parts list from a “factory car”. Throw carbon fibre wheels, electronic ohlins dampers, etc etc on a CTR and it would probably take it back. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes but you can still buy the car, not like the Civic which has the record (cheeeeattttterrrrr). I had Ohlins on my M3RS and on my Downhill bike (no one can service it in Canada lol) too. Even if i'm French i have less respect for Honda, Toyota and Nissan because they are thieves. I have few Peugeot, Renault engineers in my family and they basically told me how Japaneses and Chineses stole our technologies. Sorry but i hate thieves, Citroën democratized FWD so it's normal for PSA and Renault to be the best one. Also it's easy for Michelin and Renault to make a way faster car but thanks to Macron and Hollande we can't with the Co2 emissions ($15000 of tax just for the car). That's why the M4RS has a 1.8 turbo and the the price per litre is $2.5 atm in France lol.
Idk i only have been to Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo in Japan. If i want i can import a Peugeot 306 or a Xsara WRC but i guess i will receive a VI every week specially with a French car in BC. Trust me i had a Subaru B4,GTB, Leg, Renault Clio RS, M3RS, Taudi RS4,A1,A4 and the M3RS was the fastest one on a circuit.
trust me i want a clio or new alpine as much as the next guy
i was just ranting about how the performance imports from when we're young are now more American or European...losing a bit of soul now that the cultural/nostalgic factor is gone
Hahahaha yah Japan stole all its car tech from the French... and here I thought CiC was the king of whackjob theories on RS
Don't exaggerate they copy German, French, Italian, American cars specially in the 60-70's.
Japan was like China 50-60 years ago, they were making cheap copies, then they improved i'm not gonna do a history class. Google "Flying geese paradigm" for more informations. Now they are on top, but they used to copy and steal a lot of technologies. They apparently even try to steal the air ride from the Citroen DS.
The sources are from documentaries and ppl who used to work for Peugeot and Renault. I also used to work for Renault too.

Are you claiming that Peugeot and Renault invented or originated the modern/practical car? or did they copy/improve someone else's design?
