I cant remember if he had a crate mugen engine or just a mugen valve cover with the JDM K20A engine. In two pics there are the stock side skirts and the rest is with the Ings + 1 sideskirts. Also I remember he sold the Cusco cage as well.

This was a terrible time for modded car owners. This was around the time where aircare implemented obd2 scans as part of the aircare testing to renew your insurance. Basically any 96+ car running aftermarket ecu’s couldn’t pass aircare and get insurance. A lot of guys decided to just part out there cars for this reason.

The obd2 test was for most 98+ vehicles. Only in exceptional circumstances could you get away with a drive or idle test.

Oh wow those were the times. Friend had a house in osoyoos so people would just insure with that address. I remember always being too low for the rollers, so just idle test and pass. Or go test and fail, and go to a shop and spend $500 to try and pass (just get the shop to do other maintenance with the money) and get a conditional pass for the year

Ya, I remember that loophole. I opted for the fraudless method of 13 drive tests and a ton of money down the drain but I eventually passed and was good for 2 years.

Should’ve thrown on a set of studded tires and done the test during Oct to Apr. Because they don’t do the dyno test with studded tires haha. So idle test only.
