Any recommendations or know where to get a USDM catalytic converter or test pipe for DC2r? I'm looking to replace mine as it's rattling.
Thanks!

This should probably spin off into its own thread eventually, but the Integra is coming back in 2022: https://mobile.twitter.com/dsgolson/...631810058?s=19
This also marks a return to proper model names
And the throwback detail on the front bumper is a lovely touch
Will they bring back a sedan alongside a hatchback, to replace the ILX? The slope of the Civic hatchback’s rear does look more like the OG Integra’s than the 90’s Civics. Without a doubt a Type-R should show up at some point.

Realistically, I imagine a reskinned 40k civic HB, with more tech and luxury, heavier, maybe an extra 5-10HP. I don't think it's going to meet the expectations of the original 90s integra fans.

There's some faint rumblings that it's 1.5T+DCT for the base model, and CTR 2.0T+10AT for the Type S. Honda would be insane not offering the manual on the Type S.
If they release the Integra with a 4-door coupe/sportback option, my GTI is gone for an AT Type S.

Here's what I think is gonna happen. The Integra will replace the ILX and share the platform of the new civic. It's too expensive for them to come out with a completely new platform.
Base engine will likely be the 1.5T top trim will be a 2L Turbo but I don't think it's going to be the type-r motor. It doesn't make sense for Honda/acura to take the CTR and detune it for a type-s. if anything it'll be the 2L turbo from the RDX/Accord. 10speed auto and maybe a 6-speed.
I don't see a coupe cause it doesn't make sense, I'm thinking it'll be a four door coupe.

Agree that the 2.0T will probably be 272hp, not 306hp like the Type R. Maybe it gets SH-AWD to differentiate it from the Civic.
While manuals are unpopular I would figure at least one trim will get it - hard to say which though, could make the case for either one as both are just sitting on the shelf ready to go.
I'd be surprised if it's a 2 door coupe/hatch - there's just no market for that anymore. Makes way more sense to be a sedan or a Sportback. A Sportback would be so dope.

My Gut feeling is this car will be more RSX than Integra.......... but thats ok.
past ten year Acura lineup has been luke warm.......... need to bring back some of that 90s-early 00's cars.
I'm genuinely excited.

hope they make the nose clean and grill free.
I know some of these are creative concept renderings but imagine if the car was quite close to this... thatll be great. https://www.autoevolution.com/news/m...n-166793.html#

Light, nimble, etc. The "spirit" of the old Integra is what made it special and in my mind, is the essence of the nameplate.
I liken it to throwing Eclipse onto a SUV. Correct me If I am wrong, but no one here thinks about the 90s Integra as simply a dolled-up Civic (which I agree, it was), do we?

There's no such thing a light and nimble with today's safety standards... only the Miata has managed to carry that forward and certain Lotus products... everyone else is just like fuck it high door sills and crash safety to the max

Pros and cons but the teg tended to be a bit more powerful with more displacement and power. A bit of extra weight and features too compared to civic.
Not surprised if the new car shares underpinnings of new 11 gen civic but in a completely different body shell. No complaints there but it does show Acura is tapping in a bit of their heritage to market the car being a bit sportier than the ILX it may be replacing.
Acura is trying (again) and it shows.
Burrard Acura themselves got 6 deposits today for the 22’ integra….
So it begins. Revscene 2.0 gen

Watching the drone show again, it could even be a 2 door TLX. The profile looks like it.

Acura has aggressively moved away from Honda platforms (RDX, TLX, MDX)
a CL replacement might actually be likely
i think they would be wise to keep the cost/weight down by sticking with what honda has mastered..FWD
few things that are non-negotiable for the Integra/RSX nameplate
1. naturally-aspirated K motor
2. 2-door liftback design with water in the spare well
3. dead easy to work on

In interviews they're careful with their words too - they only admit to similarities under detailed questioning.
VW/Audi share the MLB Evo platform between the A4, A6, Cayenne, Bentaga, Urus and I bet there's more differences between those cars than between the Accord and TLX but VW/Audi doesn't call them unique.
The MDX is only exclusive right now but that chassis will underpin the new Pilot and Odyssey though probably without the DWB front. Same bits though.

true on the mdx and rdx but it seems like tlx is only similiar enough to other products solely for streamline manufacturing but otherwise it's invested more for performance Quote:
TLX is different in that it has a bespoke platform that is not shared with any other Acura or Honda vehicle,” Acura says. “This approach was adopted to meet the high dynamic targets [for the Type S], and unique powertrain [the 3.0T V6] and drivetrain applications [SH-AWD] that required a different platform from the Accord.

It's like how a company can claim "Made in USA with imported parts". Acura can say it's bespoke to them, but it would have existing data from Honda. Otherwise, the development would be in the hundreds of millions for each car.

I think it looks pretty awesome. One thing with new cars you just can’t get away from that annoys me though is the tiny windows and high belt line that safety standards dictate.

Maybe this is why they killed the civic coupe.
The integra should have more performance than a Civic Type R. I'm hopeful for the best what they can put together, 2.0 turbo, manual, awd, aluminum monocoque. But will they do it? I doubt it.
