Didn't a local 97 or 98 owner get declined the collector plates due to no official production numbers being released by Acura or something along those lines?

There was a time when ICBC labeled the GSR as a collectible vehicle but I believe they no longer do this. Don't quote me on this, but someone mentioned ICBC's reasoning was a different trim level doesn't make it a different car.

icbc would probably lose money insuring type-R's at collector rates given how theft prone they are

Still on the hunt...

Been getting a fair number of PMs asking for price on my 05 STi.
Anyone on here who has a mint ITR willing to do a trade + cash send me a msg.
If you have a friend with a mint ITR who is interested in a STi trade + cash send me a msg
Would be willing to dole out a $500 finders fee + 6 pack of beer of your choice for a lead and successful sale on a mint ITR. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Car must be mint, no accidents/claims, 120,000 KM or less, Prefer CW, No mods unless rims/exhaust/coilovers (mugen, kw/tein, spoon)

I wish prices were that low. Clean AP2's are easily north of 23k. Not too familiar with AP1 prices but good ones are generally asking 16-20k.

2001 Acura Integra Type R Coupe (2 door) | used cars & trucks | City of Toronto | Kijiji

Best deal you will probably ever find, it's only like 1400 to ship by train.

Makes me sad.
The paint on that car. The front bumper is off and the colour isn't a perfect match but I'd still do it at that price.

ITR isn't a car, it's a lifestyle, the be an ITR owner in Van there are certain personality characteristics one must posses.

You need to ask yourself if you're the right kind of owner for that car before you buy one.

Best of both worlds, keep the STi for daily and pick up an ITR for weekend.

As mentioned in the ad, seller is using "10w40" oil when recommended is 5w30.
"Trans grinds in 4th and 5th gear".
Pretty much engine and trans are in need of a rebuild. Maintaining an R isn't cheap.

You're looking at 4+k for an engine rebuild and another $1500 for the trans.

I always question the people who are obsessed with the ITR as to if they've ever actually driven a "Fast" car lol

i had an EK hatch with a B18C5 in it for a weekend, after that weekend i was litterally loling at the holy grail which is the ITR.. literally 20 minutes into driving this car i was like "lol..this is it?"

you can go on about the actual ITR's performance value etc. but this Hatch had the full drive train, 5 lug conversion, bit of a mod list, and the thing was a joke as far as i'm concerned

Yes, many. Have an EVO, had an STi, driven MkIV Supra's and owned a MkIII, 300ZX TT, Turbo E36 M3, a few AMG's lately, plenty of muscle cars, etc. When all you have is speed it gets boring.

It really is a complete package. An EK with full ITR stuff is no ITR. The DC2R body itself is stiffer and everything is built around that. It's not the best by any means but as a complete package(handling, acceleration, value, reliability, etc) it's pretty unbeatable, even by today's standard.

Like jasonturbo said, it's not just a car, it's a lifestyle.
