all correct tofu1413. no rear wiper on '96(same as '97 US), so no rear nozzle either.
'98 spec offered a "race base" with no airbag, no abs, no third brake light and a manual rack. Different Momo wheel and a smooth dash where the passenger airbag goes. Not sure if a '96 spec was offer in a similar fashion.
The registry has been updated but Matt put QC instead of BC for my '99.
96 spec should be offered no airbag as well, as early best motoring videos featured non srs momo steering wheels and a clean smooth dash board.
Also came with that rare Honda double din radio delete plate.
I had a 96' non srs momo steering wheel in my 00' ITR before. Good steering wheel and the perfect size.
Also. Later jdm cars had 1mm larger rear sway bar I think and slightly different suspension settings ( I think rear camber and mildly revised spring rates)
Machine ported intake ports vs hand ported intake ports on earlier cars.
JDM block had higher compression ratios too!
So many mild differences.

Random thought, anyone interested in a Honda meet? Type Rs, NSXs, S2000s, Euro Rs(RonaldTypeR and Tofu1413 )
Could get outta control quick. Start with ITR's and NSX's but leave it "open" to Honda's. You'll get all the shit box Civic ricers showing up with their x9 stanceness, multicolor bays and zip ties everywhere. Not that I hate on that but it's a far cry from a distinguished meet with mature owners.
The only "real" way to do it is for someone who knows of all the owners on here to reach out via PM and organize something on the DL. The ITR meets from '04-'08 were great but sadly most have moved on and no one(including myself) stepped up to take over the organization.

Yeah I was thinking about that. I was thinking of starting a private, invite only group. Elitist BC Honda essentially lol

Do a "special cars for the late 20s early 30s grumpy RS members who graduated near the turn of the millennium meet"
993s, e36/46 m3s e39 m5s, type Rs, s2ks, NSXs, etc.
Now thats meet I can get behind. We can drink coffee, complain about how boring new cars are, talk about our grossly inflated real estate purchases and how we work too much.

7pm The bubble tea shop, Richmond under superstore. Park in the very back s/w corner. Revscene discount 30%. Let my staff know when ordering
Disclaimer: please please please act like adults. This isn't my property. This isn't a revscene meet. It's just a bunch of mature people having bbt and debating about our real estate situation

How much motor oil are your ITR's consuming? I average about 700ml every 300km or so.
i've had a leakdown and compression test done. The oil control rings are seem to be the culprit.
