8k.

wonder who scooped it up!

twitchyzero 07-30-2016 09:37 PM

just curious...you guys would rather buy rebuilt over RHD?

tegra7 07-30-2016 09:38 PM

^Neither

twitchyzero 07-30-2016 09:41 PM

jut seems like JDM 150ish kms would sit around the market for 7-8k...but LHD rebuilts with higher kms once in the 8-10k they'll go pretty fast.

Iron Chef 08-01-2016 07:44 PM

So who was cruising to porteau cove last night ?

Finding the bottom is kind of interesting. Both are hard to sell. I think I would rather have a LHD rebuild to beat on the track. I had RHD in the past and have no desire to own one again.

Next option would be higher mileage LHD. There is a 99 CW in Toronto with 282kms for about $12k CAD. JDM motor, front end, wheels, seats etc. Not a collector car but if well maintained could be a lot of fun for the money. (No mention of VINs, accidents or rust.)

^ $12k car... looks like a good candidate for heavy mods and butchering for track day

212000km, 2 accidents and modded to the hilt for 30k? Lawl...

VR6GTI 08-05-2016 07:15 PM

lol worth like 15-20 max

swfk 08-05-2016 09:55 PM

I've seen it in person and it is immaculate. It'd cost more to restore and build to that spec.

twitchyzero 08-05-2016 10:16 PM

unless you have photos with panels off, i auto-assume any lhd ITR with jdm front has been in an accident...wouldn't even believe a clean carfax/icbc report.

so in that vehicle's defense it's being transparent not to mention all mods are OE/Spoon and highly sought-after. I can see someone who wants a complete package pay a small premium and take it for 25k or pretty darn close to asking

kobe tai 08-07-2016 01:05 PM

Anyone follow Shg_Dan on IG? Pretty crazy ITR restoration project. Too bad its RHD but level of detail is nuts.

Super cool dude. He's restoring his that he's owned and tracked for years. Giving love to a car that's done the same for him for years. It's a damn near love story. haha! Seriously though, the paint quality for the inner fenders is better quality than most complete high end paint jobs. Truly amazing!! His post about the bolt markings and torque specs is just a crazy attention to detail.

Saw a white Type R yesterday, parked near Fraser and 32nd

Quite nice. JDM front, carbon Spoon lip, grey JDM Type R wheels, with a unique wing, looked like the regular Type R wing in white but with a black tail on it.

Was driving past it, couldn't tell if it was RHD or LHD. No photos because of driving

Anyone here?

tofu1413 08-09-2016 09:04 AM

^ probably my old ride... its got a gurney flap on it now on the stock wing, and has been cleaned up quite a bit since i sold it.

Your referring to him Marking a line on the bolts, and coming back to check and re torque after he shakes down the car?

I can only imagine that he's only doing this on vital components like suspension, driveline, and such. He can't possibly be going back to bolts inside the door panels, and such. Then again with the attention to detail on his car, maybe he is. I'm totally with you, that car is insane.

Spoiler!

white rocket 08-09-2016 03:04 PM

^^Yes, suspension and driveline primarily.

I agreed with your spoiler whole-heartedly.

RevYouUp 08-10-2016 06:51 AM

Seems like people look down on RHD itrs. Even though the 96 specs are 300 lbs lighter than LHD ones. I'd rather buy a RHD in lower mileage, better condition for half the price of a somewhat beat LHD counterpart.
