My only gripe with RHD is dealing with it in a LHD world. I'd love to have a '96 spec DC2R coupe and a '98 spec DB8R sedan in my fleet and could probably pick up both for less then I paid for my most recent ITR. But, driving them around is a massive PITA for me. I'm thinking most other people would feel the same. Nothing against RHD, but dealing with shit drivers in the GVRD is bad enough. I don't need another difficult variable to contend with.
what are the issues? the usual criticisms i hear are parking booths, toll machines, left turns and drive thrus.

ICBC would be quick to write off a jdm vehicle if involved in a collision. They like to source out parts locally, highly doubt they would replace a jdm front.

Thats not like its just a minor issue.....
Right turns, passing on the highway, etc.
Anyone who says you get used to it is either full of shit or has a 9 foot long extendable neck.

Mehhh RHD, I had an R32 Skyline for a few months, I got used to driving it around Deadmonton pretty quick, seemed reasonably safe... and man oh man are those R32 Skyline seats comfy.
Spoiler!
Car was bought for the parts, everything was swapped into my 240SX lol
But for the record, I was/am RHD hater to the max... mainly because I can't seem to shift with my left hand... I also struggle to fap with left hand, might as well be using my feet or a cheese grater etc.

I don't know about you guys but I'm okay with my rhd itr. You actually do get used to it believe it or not.
Only down sides I had so far would be the parking booths.. nothing beats a good stretch for the other side! And as for left turns, I either look under the vehicles to see if any are coming my way or just wait for red
Saw a white Type R yesterday, parked near Fraser and 32nd
Quite nice. JDM front, carbon Spoon lip, grey JDM Type R wheels, with a unique wing, looked like the regular Type R wing in white but with a black tail on it.
Was driving past it, couldn't tell if it was RHD or LHD. No photos because of driving
Anyone here?
Werd. Chilling at a buddy's.

This. Along with all the other stuff peeps mentioned. I too drove an R32 GTS many years ago as my first intro to RHD. Rowing through the gears from the outward postion inward just felt weird as fcuk. Like going from 5th to 1st. Left hand shifting is also weird.
I wouldn't say that you get used to it, more like you learn to deal with it. Me personally, I just found it annoying. While there are a few cars that I'd love to have that were only built in RHD variants I still can't bring myself to enjoy it enough to purchase one. If I could, I'd be dailying tofu's EuroR right now.

buy a battle gear 4 machine -->> practice --> shift with left hand -- > ????? --> profit!

Spotted a realllllllll clean white integra with spoon calipers and blue lug nuts over by UBC this evening. Gave the thumbs up from a bike I was rolling around on. Not sure if the owner is on these boards but just wanted to say that thing looks really nice.
I had a RHD R32 GTR for a while. As mentioned there are situations where it is not ideal (left turns and passing). RHD cars do not get a lot of respect and many will not consider them collectible. This keeps the prices affordable for those who just want to drive. It means you can get a RHD ITR, AP1, MKIV Supra, Z32, etc for much cheaper and that's a good thing.
This week I received some EDM mats off ebay for daily use. About $190 CAD shipped.
I am looking at getting some wheels/tire for the track soon

Excuse my ignorance, but what are "os" pistons? Should I replace rods as well?
He's speaking of oversize pistons. When you rebuild the block it is usually treated to a bore and hone. This will increase the bore size slightly. Honda offers "OS" pistons that are 1/4 mil(81.25mm instead of the stock 81mm) bigger to compensate for that extra material that was removed. Adding to that, some may choose the JDM OS pistons which will increase compression from 10.6:1 to 11.1:1 due to higher peaked domes.
You won't need new rods but you should get new rod bolts (ARP).

If i'm not mistaken, if you choose to go with ARP rod bolts it is also recommended you have your rods shot peen'd
