Yea was listed previously for around the same price. He's been to RS meets before.

white rocket 08-22-2016 01:12 PM

^^I almost bought that one last year for $9500. Baller parts on top of a nicely maintained '96 spec. Still a decent buy right now.

loong 08-22-2016 01:18 PM

You dont need another one lol. Unless its a milano red one.

thumper 08-22-2016 01:22 PM

c'mon never deny someone the right to hoard itr's

thumper 08-22-2016 01:40 PM

one more RHD. it's been for sale on craigs for a bit of a while now, but the price took a sudden freefall, only because the seller is taking parts off... from the description i am going to assume the seller is going to put stock brakes and wheels on it. but wasn't this asking like $14k + before? still for that mileage it dosen't feel like a good buy?

^^Decent buy. He has a "build" thread on H-T. Nice car and looks well kept. I'm no judge on the RHD market though. Mostly just looking at what each part could be worth if bought in today's market individually.

tofu1413 08-22-2016 02:33 PM

yeah that one is quite nice.

pretty solid guy too.

i'm guessing you were right because i didn't get to see the ad before it was deleted

TouringTeg 08-24-2016 07:06 AM

It was the yellow one JDM front rebuilt title now $8000 FIRM

No details in the ad about the accident

I would rather have the 96 JDM with Mugen MF8 / Spoon parts. Looks like a solid buy

BACK from the dead.

About 18 months ago I was in a front end collision with my beloved Type R -- a retarded N driver made a left hand turn in front of me at the last second because he wasn't looking for oncoming traffic. Anyways long story short -- ICBC didn't write off my car and instead gave me $22K to fix --- 18 months later she's all done. Huge thanks to Russ at Tom's Custom Autobody for doing such an amazing job. Props to the guys at Garage Five for getting all the J's Racing goodies. Now I'm shopping for new rims to fit the widebody. Suggestions?

I also have a Mugen Gen2 wing for sale -- I will sell to highest bidder

I already have Ce28Ns on my car -- looking for something different actually. and staggered setup is not what I want for a track car

Still hasn't cracked into 7k Selling a car with a firm price is tough. Everyone wants to feel like they negotiated a good deal.

Bridgestone $70 Costco rebate is on again as of Aug 29th. Got some Re71R 205/45/16 put on some OEM Prelude wheels. Can't wait to try them out.

phat_R
amazing to see she didn't get the death sentence and is back to the former glory
how did you convince the adjudicators to retain clean status with sucha heavy restore bill? That would've meant they considered the R to be worth $40k+ at time of accident? Was it appraised beforehand and they factored in the turbo (iirc)?

TouringTeg 08-31-2016 10:31 AM

^ I'm curious as well. I think ICBC values the Type R the same as other Integras. My insurance is $931 for the year with 43% discount.

loong 08-31-2016 11:42 AM

Yea, I'm really curious as well. That is my worst fear that in an event of a bad accident, my car would be written off and not repaired due it just being a regular Integra in their eyes.

If its that big of a concern you should have the vehicle appraised by an independent company. They are insuring you for a vehicle they believe to be worth xxxx amount of dollars. They have no idea that you have $10,000+ in mods and that your vehicle is a rare breed. Alot of people do not want to get the vehicle appraised and let there insurance company know. They do this to save money but when something does happen if you have the proper documents in place you will have a hassle free claim.

twitchyzero 08-31-2016 08:44 PM

GS-R and Type-R doesn't have its own insurance tier with icbc?
I know they classify RSX as either as type-S or non type-S

thumper 09-01-2016 07:46 AM

i think there should be a difference. i don't think they would single out the integra as all being the same? for example just out of curiosity i asked my autoplan agent when i renewed my insurance for my mustang what the difference would be if i went from my GT to a GT350 and the difference in price made me
