When I bought my ITR, I test drove it and got a pre-purchase done which included a compression test (and maybe a leakdown, can't remember).

not a waste. just because a jdm passed gov't inspection dosen't mean the car is any good.

If it's a great deal I inspect myself to facilitate a quick transaction.

There is autox at Western Speedy Victoria Sept 18th and Oct 2nd. Blades are the right direction now so I will be even faster :D

Let me know if you think the car needs a bigger rear sway bar.

I have the ASR 32 mm rear bar with 2 different center sections from my ITR. :fuckyea:

Oh, I totally agree. I meant getting a Carproof would be a waste if the car had literally just been shipped from Japan. Happy to be proven wrong but I don't think Carproof covers accidents in Japan!

This monte carlo blue ITR is back up for sale. In its glory days, it had all authentic Mugen parts.

I remember an RS member owned it at one point and did the "put it back to stock" thing to it..

could use some love, this car, and get the quarters fixed. But i do think the car deserves to be repainted back to Champ white.

tegra7 09-13-2016 06:47 PM

^God i hate that ITR

Jaffray 09-13-2016 08:37 PM

^ whaaaaa? I dig it, especially the blue! Slap some TE's and some little bits here and there..

tegra7 09-13-2016 08:54 PM

I remember when it was for sale back in 07/08 with all the Mugen goodies, It seemed like a special car at the time. Now it reminds me of that chick every guy wanted to bang back in high school that turned out to be a cracked out prostitute.

Is there more than 1 of those blue itrs locally here? If it's the same one as the one I'm thinking of, definitely stay away from it..

white rocket 09-14-2016 08:22 AM

I remember seeing that blue ITR at the meets back in 2004/2005. Been raped and shitkicked since then though apparently.

I know that there are ITR's on Craigslist now, but is that the best place to look for them?

How many JDM Type R's have you guys pop up for sale in the past year?

Im looking at the import prices and its like ok $10,000 for a JDM DC2 then another 4-5k Import fees and taxes.

If I can get one locally it obviously makes sense, I just don't know if craigslist is the best place to look.

JDM RHD Could be had for much less than that......

I do have someone that imports RHD for me that can help. Feel free to PM me

twitchyzero 09-14-2016 06:30 PM

unless you're really specific (very low km, near bone stock, must-have model year)....no need to import as JDM ITR have been popping up locally around $8K

Cool thank you for that its good to know that all hope isn't lost, I would appreciate it if you could PM me if you spot one up for sale!

I just want one with nice recaros, no mechanical issues and no smashes... mileage doesn't matter too much as long as it has been looked after.

I am curious if there is a website like Pistonheads in Canada, we use this back home its pretty good http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...M=366&Option=1

Craigslist scares me

i wonder if it is the one i sometimes see pushed out front of an unmarked warehouse unit near aj racing. the few times i've seen that car it always has expired tags. i've seen it in the company skyline gt-r's and fd rx7's and they all come and go, but it's still there in the end...

TouringTeg 09-15-2016 06:56 AM

The best places online to find an R seem to be CL Vancouver or kijiji for the rest of Canada. If you are open to US cars check out ITRexpo. Most US cars get posted on CL.
