Before I knew all this, I tried contacting the seller who responded to a few emails and when I started to ask more questions, seller flaked and never replied to my emails even when I sent them from a different email account.

So yeah, YMMV.

I have a feeling the guy selling the trans is the same guy selling the cluster and arm rest.

1997 did not have Vin plate's :)

tofu1413 10-15-2016 09:41 AM

hmmm that transmission seems very similar to my friend's old one.

came off a 97' Spec ITR of his. He dumped too much money into that transmission and it was clearly geared for auto X (damn car top speed was a tad over 180kmh) car was damned quick in the acceleration department though.

It might actually be the same one, as there are very few guys that would dump that kind of money into a transmission alone.

This could be the only thread on the internet where you could talk about that "hot tranny" on craigslist without losing any credibility!

1998 Type R with JDM front, very vague advert.

I got all excited because I thought it was an actual JDM Type R :(

Why do you want a RHD ITR so bad?
Here is a LHD car with JDM front end at a reasonable price. Your reaction is the same as seeing a hot chick :fuckyea:
then getting her in the sack to find out she has pointy elbows. :heckno:

VR6GTI 10-18-2016 08:25 AM

That ad is so vague makes me scratch my head

twitchyzero 10-18-2016 10:26 AM

when it's reasonably priced it doesn't need to be detailed
the milage is in the odo pic

E-SPEC 10-18-2016 01:00 PM

That to me tells someone who is not too enthusiastic about letting it go, but then again he listed at 10k so who knows!

Don't let the door knob hit you on the way out.

freelunch 10-19-2016 09:51 AM

Anyone find out more info about that JDM front car? 10k is pretty good if it's a clean car.

white rocket 10-19-2016 11:51 AM

I'm pretty sure I know the car. I've see it at the bank I deal with for the last 8 years, if not more. About 2 months ago a friend of mine was at that branch, noticed the car, asked who's it was, owner stepped up and gave him his business card as he was looking to sell although no active ad at the time. My friend gave his business card to me as he knows I'm always looking for ITR's.

So to be a car enthusiast you have to prefer the inconvenience of not being able to pass cars or see when you are turning?

tofu1413 10-20-2016 01:47 PM

ITR is becoming the next CRX
not saying elusive garage queens don't exist but most copies are fatigued from years of heavy driving and questionable mods from couple thousand of owners throughout its life
