Looks like the one that was for sale a few months ago for $10K. Wonder if it has changed hands since.

Oo LHD with all the JDM goodies. Looks like a fun car.
I think it is a lot safer to leave your ITR in a parking garage these days since the Honda / Acura modding scene has passed it's prime. Golden era Hondas are disappearing, kids grow up and and tastes change. Many have moved away from modding Civic's.
I've fixed up a few over past couple years and finding parts at the junk yard is getting more difficult (ex CRX parts). I have talked to the owners and the cars have been picked over, less people are keeping them on the road and wreckers need the space for more profitable parts cars so they get crushed.

Someone mentioned that the seller would have taken $8500 at the time it was for sale. A decent deal and I considered it but to get it to a quality level you'd be spending well over $10K and now your stuck with a 210K kms ITR that had previous damage. Or a DIY'er could re-ring it, fix the clutch and have it as a track car.

With the exchange rate, That is just over $1000 cdn. The rear springs are too soft so factor $80 usd per spring plus $20 shipping, that is an additional $243 cdn.
$1600 plus $1000 plus $243 = $2843.
Right now, TR has them on sale $1949.50 usd plus shipping. Not sure, gonna guess $100 usd for shipping.
That is roughly $3100 tax incl to the border.
All that to save $250.

DC2 > DC5. I'll take a B18C and double wishbone over K20A and MacPherson struts any day of the week.

I think the Integra Type-R should've been DC2 with K20

I dig on a Kswap DC2R. Just don't like the DC5 chassis.

I wonder what's more desirable...EP3 CTR or DC5 ITR...identical platform...both have lower-spec'd LHD equivalent
i'm surprised they even have two DC5 for local inventory...ultra-niche market

IMO, the EP3 is the red-headed step child of the "R" lineage. DC5R would be more desirable. I'm pretty biased though and don't really like either one.

interesting how the DC5 is less alluring because of macpherson struts..and I guess looks? I think the mid-cycle refresh looks better than DC2 (i'm biased). Despite its chunkier looks and reinforced safety features, it doesn't weigh more than the previous generation.
The K20 is a lot more potent and responds well to mods. Some don't like its dentist drill audio. I feel the DC2 experience is more visceral and raw...but I wouldn't discredit the DC5.

The DC5's are really fun cars to drive. My good friend had a semi-stripped, fbo DC5 with toda cams tuned with a Hondata KPro. It made just over 250 whp all motor on a dynojet. When I took the car for a spin he told me to be careful because it's faster than you think. Sure enough I pooped a little giving it the beans. I'd never experienced so much torque steer in a fwd car. It was obnoxiously loud and pulled extremely hard for a naturally aspirated car - one of the few N/A cars that I consider fast even to this day. And while I do think the DC2 wins in the looks dept, the DC5 is a good looking car in it's own right...but that's all relative. Still no n/a B18C will pull like a K20C
