From what I remember in previous pics, the Mugen cluster is fake. It had a weird line showing where the "redline" should be. The original one from Mugen never had that marking. The silver bezel looked real from what I can recall though. Clearly the Mugen-ness of the car had been stripped over time as it passed from owner to owner.

I dunno, if you own a body shop and put in your own work then yeah, perhaps a profit is possible. That poor car has been passed around more than a salty hooker. | Car had 175K's.
For sale post on CL showed door jams and doors behind the rubber was properly painted blue. Only white was the engine bay and underside of the car.
I remember one of the fenders were dented and had some surface rust.
16 inch rota's gotta go.

At 175k you really gotta ask yourself does it still drive like an ITR and if not what would it take to mechanically restore back to ITR specs.
90% chance it's burning oil and has a grind or 2. What's the point of having an itr when you can't drive it like one.
Budget 10k for a mechanical resto to refresh engine trans and suspension. I'd say your into for 15k + the cost of the car to get it back to its former glory and a trackable condition. You could do it all in stages over the course of a couple years. Let's be realistic , any 20yr old car is gonna be a project. I'm going through this process right now with my 92 EG with 400000km. Did full mechanical resto over the last 4yr, moving onto interior this yr , next next yr is bodywork. If you love the car and it's a keeper, money and time is no object.
That car needs to find the right owner, I wish I could save them all.

Safe to assume very few will drop 10's of thousands on a Civic let alone ITR unless they either wrench for a living, sponsored or jasonturbo.
i admire the dedication, but it just doesn't seem reasonable.

Maybe one day you will find something you cherish so much that that is the case. No one said you have to spend it all or do it all at once. I'm 17 years into my project, little by little you just keep chipping away at it til it gets to where you want it. You don't have to be rich or retired , you just have to have the desire , everything starts with that.

Step by step, since 99% of ppl have normal life and need to pay the bills like myself, and yes of coz u wanna do all the work all at once so u can enjoy the car u wanted. But reality comes first, I brought a em1 last yr and already did some work with it, I cannot tell u how eager I wanna do a K swap and repaint the whole car, actually I think about it every single morning when I check this forum. And tbh I asked my mech buddy about this blue itr, I was so close of going to the bank, get the cash and bring the car home. The truth is this car needs shit load of work but the most important is the history of this car is just too horrifying. I assume along the restoration u will find hidden problems and it will empty your bank acc, in my case I won't be able to afford to continue. That's the reason y I walked away from this itr.

I think the blue one was in rocket bunny reggie guy's hands as a beater, judging by his IG...
and then he bought one of the RS member's car here and sold the blue one...
looks like it was supposed to get a k swap.

How much would a K swap be? And what shops are the best to do it in BC?

I find it funny they put the GSR on the block. They declined my 41k mile EM1 (99 SiR) It did have reversible mods. It's true that all stock cars seem to do better on BaT.

I do my best to keep it in decent condition as I plan to keep it as long as it runs. Might be nice to do the cross-country thing with it one day.
I still stand by what I say though. I baby my toys but don't pretend like it's my child and invest a small fortune at them. At the end of the day, it's just a dinosaur burner in a metal shell. Maybe I'll think differently if it's a limited production car passed down from previous generation(s)...not an econobox Honda.

"Stolen."
Guy probably realized the only way to get money out of an ITR that you could see the sky from the bottom of the frame rail, is to have insurance pay for it.

Check out that rust. With fenders on it, there's no way to tell the rust is that bad there.

buyer probably found all that rust and realized the mistake he made and then parked it on skid row with the keys inside...
anyone also notice the 4-bolt hubs? what a score!
also, "estimated retail value" $24,000 USD

Poor 97 ! It endured east coast winters then vandalized and stripped clean.

Wondering if it was an inside job. They had to have had a garage to swap the 5 bolt hubs.
Plus, I think they are building a regular integra into an ITR hence why they took the doors and rear panel too.
Surprised they didn't take the hatch as well.

I thought that a dealer bought that '97 from BaT. Makes sense now that it's "stolen". Realized the massive rust issue when they took delivery and bam, stolen! haha! Good move. Probably sold off the parts they "stole" to recoup even more money.
I'm just making assumptions but finger pointing on the internet is fun so fuck it.
