Way to many stories and not straight answers from the owner for me to buy it. It was like the person selling the car didn't even own it.

It was really strange that they didn't post about the accident then suddenly revised their ad and dropped the price within one day Some people are awful at selling cars

As you can see, the theme is high-revving NA sedans.

DB8R all day. The rarity and R lineage is enough to make me want one; and I hate RHD with a passion. Yet, I'm constantly considering one. Really depends on pricing though. SR's for $18,000 is a bit rich for me although the car itself is stunning. Same with the white '01 that was posted earlier. $15,000 might be a bit much and I still question the actual model year. We'll see in a year or so if the DB8R value increase continues even though RHD isn't desired.

doubt it'll go up
they are incredibly niche...even if the ITR demo would probably prefer 4-doors

Since they never made a LHD version, I thought about buying a 4 door and building one up. They did offer a 4 door GSR in the states which was pretty neat.

The going rate for 98+ (yes of course I want 5-lug) seems to hover around 500,000-900,000 JPY depending on condition, but of course you can play the auction game and possibly get one for less. It's how the R is on my list since the Altezza and Si are in the same price range once everything else is factored in.

However, between the two RHD's, the ITR would have the least issue sourcing maintenance items since it had an LHD version here. That and support for Honda is still massive.

I Currently own both a RHD Altezza and a RHD DC2 96 Spec R.

For a daily driver, Altezza hands down. For a track hero, definitely ITR.

Dual purpose I will still pick the Altezza. I imported the Altezza myself and I can easily get 2 Altezzas for the price of a 98spec DB8R.

What are the chances that I'd get feedback from someone who owns both?

The ITR is fun to drive but I would not daily it. I am getting old though (37).

This car makes me want to track down a MR from Europe.

Any ITR owners interested in some RE71R tires 205/45/16? I purchased them from Costco Aug 2016 for $872.16 (have invoice).

Only used for three autoX days (24 runs approx) and 200 kms on the street. Take the Prelude 16" rims for free with tire purchase. I'm changing to 15" wheels and tires soon. Will trade for good 205 50 15 autox tires. PM or email me: touringteg at hotmail dot com

I know of one that will be for sale shortly, 2001, CW, 49,000KM, second owner, all original, no accidents etc.

He will want market value but the car is immaculate, I'll send you his info once he's ready, should be within the next week.

jasonturbo 06-23-2017 03:55 PM

Just talked to him, strange as this may sound, I guess one of the local Honda dealers has already made an offer for the car and the deal is going through, supposedly they want it in the showroom or something to that effect.

Roughly 40K :fulloffuck:

tofu1413 06-23-2017 04:11 PM
