I'd kill for a stock usdm 98 spec...that I won't mod. But as we know, those are unicorns.

Ugh, those yellow cars above are the exact opposite of what the ITR is all about. Stanced on stupid skinny tires, no thanks.

Maybe one day when the lottery is won I'll have one of these cars. I have a thing for 4-doors, and the ITR is no exception.

there was a white DB8 at velocity cars for $8K earlier this year...i recall someone on here did end up buying it?

How's every local owner doing in recent years? Do you feel comfortable leaving it unattended in the public all day still come back to it safe and untouched? Please don't share your details...I'm just curious if the demand for parts has died down and so has the theft potential

Spotted a stock PY ITR w/gunmetal rims going northbound on Kerr yesterday around 7:45am, just curious is the owner on here or not. Sorry I know I post it on wrong forum...

It had about 170k, rust on both sides of the rear quarters, overheated, and wouldn't go into 3rd gear sometimes. Should have kept it if I knew people were going to pay outrageous amounts for rebuilt and beat up ones :QQ:

When I was fresh out of high school, I was a car detailer at lougheed Acura. I was detailing ITR's fresh off the lot. I kept the window sticker as a reminder of what i was aspiring towards. Well I reached that goal long time ago a couple times over again.

..... So if you can prove your the owner of 322 the last 3 of your vin you can have your window sticker back.

i still remember back in the early 2000's when i had mine the ongoing joke was that there were more hondas locally with type-r parts and engine swaps than there were type-rs... B&E on mitchell island had so many icbc shells they were stacking them up like firewood in a corner of their yard

Interesting thought/question.
If someone took a 98 spec RHD ITR and did a LHD swap, would that car fetch anywhere near LHD ITR money?

I would say no, you would still be looking at RHD money plus the added difficulty of selling a car that had serious surgery completed.

westopher 11-26-2015 11:51 AM

I'd be more weary of that than buying a rebuilt car. So labour intensive, and so much shit to half ass. A lot more so than a run of the mill fender bender it takes to write off a 15-20 year old cult car.
