On a side note, has anyone seen the new Desmond EVOII wheel? ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! First batch is aimed at the FK8(18x9.5) but there are 15" and 16" options in the works. Matt at ICB bought the rights to Desmond and has Tanseyia in Japan produce them. Even the original EVO designer back when they were manufactured in Russia is assisting with this process. Most likely my favorite wheel of all time so this is exciting news. Spoon Sports also sought the help of Tanseyia for their resurgence of their infamous SW388 but the wheel looks like shit and it weighs more so using the moniker SW388 is kind of a joke.

I got a Civic Type R from Honda Canada and really want to show REVscene's as well as the community support to Honda Canada by making an awesome video including as many civic type Rs in Vancouver.

Sure is. The author doesn't go into much detail. The comments are interesting. One person predicting ITR will be $100k within 10 yrs.

jasonturbo 05-12-2018 07:20 AM

A collector level ITR might touch 100K in 10 years, but it will have to be 100% original, have almost no miles (<5K), and be immaculate... and potentially a low badge number car etc.

The ROW tends to pay more money for collector cars than we do in North America, yet somehow, ITR's are more expensive here than any other part of the world.

As always, BLAME THE MEXICANS.

The guys on ITRCA picked apart the 97 ITR with 14k miles. Front end looks to have been replaced, uneven panel gaps and no vin stickers. Seats look to be quite faded as well.

TouringTeg 05-12-2018 07:23 PM

I don't think the 97 had vin stickers

tegra7 05-12-2018 07:59 PM

Used bat for reference, 97s do have vin stickers.

TouringTeg 05-12-2018 08:23 PM

Interesting! Ok 97 CDM did not have vin stickers.

Funnel 05-12-2018 08:47 PM

I can’t find any VIN stickers on my car at all besides usually manufacturers spec stickers.

twitchyzero 05-12-2018 09:09 PM

not on the motor either?

I think Canada started using vin stickers in 98, where as usdm models started in 97.

Congrats on the purchase Funnel . Super cool that TouringTeg was available to assist with the process and tegra7 posting up here to begin with. That's what the community is all about! I remember that car from the ITR summer meets back in 2006/2007/2008 era. Nice owner, real enthusiast, and came across as a genuine dude. I'll assume the owner after him was the same. You definitely have a nice example on your hands.

I hope some of you island owners can swing a trip to the mainland for an ITR meet up :)

VR6GTI 05-14-2018 08:52 AM

i'm in for an ITR meet just give me some heads up so i can get the kids out of my hair :)

Rumors - 2018 will be the last year for CTR.

Vancouver is really lacking on CW.
the photos showed, 90% of the FK8r's are black.

I want to say he picked up the Desmonds and not an FK. And I'm not sold on the look of the Desmonds on the new FK as well.

It is just wrong on modern design.

probably because such a simple wheel does not go well on these cars with a million different curves, shapes and ducts
