Mexico

Tell me where you've been in Mexico and what you did?

I'm planning to go some time in April or May.

Looking to go to a resort with water excursions, sight seeing and all that fun stuff.

Any recommendations? How many days did you go? How much did you spend for the trip? I'll probably end up in Cancun since I want to visit the water museum.

There is a recent thread about this already.
http://www.revscene.net/forums/69811...rt-mexico.html

The water museum in Cancun sucks. It is not worth it. It just statues that people just dropped into the ocean. Also its so deep that you cant even reach it even if you hold your breath with the snorkling gear. The water is quite clear though.

edit * The water museum I went to was near Isla Mujeres ( the Island of Women ) which is about a 30min boat ride from Cancun. Maybe its a different water museum that you are interested in. might be better.

I've been to Mexico City, Puebla, Oaxaca, and Tijuana. Saw the sights, drank some tequila, ate, ate and ate real Mexican food.

Sure there aren't any beaches there, but if you want to see the real Mexico and not some tarted up beach full of Europeans, Canadians and Americans, then go there.

Ooops..

Tulum is not an hour away from Cancun, it is much more.

I took the bus to north to Playa and south to Tulum. Easy and awesome, $2-$3 and you get to to cozy with locals.
