FYI: Catalog of Tools for loan @ Canadian Tire The way it works is you will need a credit card. Go to the parts desk, they will charge full price of the tool as deposit and they refund you once you return. I saw this catalog at my local one while taking one of my winters to patch. I thought I will scan it for you guys to save time. Don't expect exotic factory tools, but it should get you started. https://i.imgur.com/oXuMFGP.jpg https://i.imgur.com/kODLyKN.jpg |
You should call the store beforehand, to make sure it's available or that they even stock the tool you need. |
KMS Tools has their gift card promo on all month. You get 15% of your card purchase added to your card. I put down 300 bucks and got 345 bucks on a card. I did this before I shopped, so extra 45 bucks to spend. Sale items just seemed that much better. During Christmas, they have a 12 days of savings thing and the gift card promo is part of that, too. I'm not sure, but IIRC, it may have been as high as 20% of gift card purchase. Anyone else remember that? Also this morning, from 6:00 am to 7:30, they had a members only event. Got a free pair of Diablo reciprocating saw blades, Timmy Ho's coffee and doughnuts - also start to their monthly 3-day sale. Got me a pair of those fender stands that were on sale. |
couple weeks back I was looking to borrow a control arm puller and they said they don't have the lend a tool program anymore at No.3 road. Which store does this now? |
Call the parts desk.. or the 1800 in the image. Quote:

I intended to post in the "deals on tools" thread, which is somewhere in this forum. So solly, Charlie. |
