I didn't know the base Model 3 was that slow

The way everyone drives them in Richmond it's like they're collectively trying to alter the Earth's rotation

JDMDreams 10-10-2023 12:35 PM

How do you get it close to $40? $55-9000 rebate? Is still like $46000

68style 10-10-2023 12:39 PM

Badhobz rounds up and down amounts that are the equivalent of money farts to him... he's also hysterically bad at math even by white people standards.

I think the price on the bottom tab includes the PDI and tire/AC levy.

Most likely it will go even lower during American Thanksgiving and Boxing Day to inflate their Q4 sales figures and to make room for the facelifted M3s

Badhobz 10-10-2023 01:09 PM

Oh I saw the fine print. It’s factoring in gas savings too.

tegra7 10-10-2023 04:17 PM

The purchase price circled includes $1880 destination fee and $100 air con fee. Taxes in out the door with rebates applied is approx $53,750. Thats basically what I paid back in 2021.

The lfp battery in the 2022+ models are heavier and slightly less voltage output which made the 0-60 time slower at 6.1sec. Older nca battery ones were 0-60 in 5.3 - 5.4 sec.

Huh. Why stop there. Why don't they subtract all the expected savings in maintenance and repair costs over a 20 year run vs an ICE car, and also the feel-good value of saving the environment too. And then intrinsic value of being able to look into a mirror for a deep look into your soul to feel the kindred link with Elon Musk.

But they don't add the increased insurance cost, nor the compulsory wrap job that every Tesla owner seems to get :/ deceptive.

Badhobz 10-10-2023 05:09 PM

So true. Quite deceptive marketing but I think it works on the masses.

Have a colleague to bought a model Y, pretty funny hearing these justifications for the build quality after he was so pumped to get it

“Yea ya know.. some songs there’s a crazy rattle in the door.. but only some songs”

“Yea.. sometimes going into corners the suspension seems to creak a little but it’s not such a big deal”

Said my 13 year old car with 180,000kms doesn’t have any of those issues lol

I'm pretty sure Elon could take a hot dump on Hehe's chest and he'd pay him for it at this point.

The one in the link I posted above. Would kinda suck not being able to park your brand new car in your driveway or near other cars.

JDMDreams 10-16-2023 06:56 PM

I was gonna say does it come with free fires :lawl:

trollface 10-17-2023 03:36 PM

So if I part it inside, it catches on fire and burns down my house.
Buy if I leave it outside, it gets stolen with a potatoe.

Badhobz 10-17-2023 03:52 PM

nobody's gonna steal shit from your rich ass neighborhood trolly

it'll only get jacked when you park it at wendys for your evening shift.

jcmaz 10-17-2023 06:16 PM

Yup but for a hybrid car in this class this is likely the only choice. Corolla hybrid is a 1-3 year wait or marked up by $10k.

Model 3 rwd price dropped to $53,990

That's a decent price drop.

The historical low for the model 3 was $52,990 back in mid 2020.

If the price drops any further, I may have to give up waiting on the Prius Prime :lawl:

lolol, this is already historical low, back in 2020, The rebate wasn't $9,000 I believe.

Honestly, other than the consistent visit to the service center, the base model 3 is hard to beat in a money vs money comparison
