Is it just a matter of replacing an entire panel? I doubt you can re-work stainless

can you even remove all of the panels? looks like the upper bumper and "hood" have seams but idk about the quarter panels/bed sides

This seems even more expensive than the universal charger from tesla

Not getting stranded because level 1 was only enough to keep the battery from freezing? Just return it after winter's over. Because Costco.
*I personally don't do this, and shake my head at the line to return A/Cs after summer.

hoard garbage/junk indoors, leave $70k car outside to the elements.

I don't see any reason to get one of these over the universal charger. The Uni Charger is a fantastic charger and if it was available when we bought ours, we would have. My wife spent about $200-$250 on an adapter for her id4.

Configurator is up for thew electric Macan - starts at $100k for the base model and $125,300 for the Turbo.

JDMDreams 01-25-2024 10:53 AM

That's steep:fulloffuck:

Badhobz 01-25-2024 11:06 AM

100k for a macan!? holy moly.

EvoFire 01-25-2024 11:13 AM

That steep rake on the hatch is ridiculous. Poor cargo capacity and huge blindspot for the sake of looking sleeker.

68style 01-25-2024 11:13 AM

$106,000 base price actually.

Think of how much gas you'll save over the $71,000 base gas model though :)

I mean, $35,000 only buys about 17,000 litres of premium fuel... which is only enough to get you 155,000kms

Badhobz 01-25-2024 11:26 AM

u sure dis macan will last 155,000kms without major repairs!?

bcrdukes 01-25-2024 11:58 AM

Will it even make it past 1,500kms w/o a major repair? :suspicious:

68style 01-25-2024 12:00 PM

Of course it won't!! But the electric one will be faultless for that same time amount of mileage AND basically free to charge or something.

Definitely felt a bit of sticker shock in the beginning. On paper, the EV Macan 4 has the performance of an ICE Macan S which closes the gap to $22K before factoring in gas expense. But your point still stands.

There's no value-for-money proposition here for a luxury good like a Porsche. I thought it'd start closer to $85-90K before freight/PDI etc.

Traum 01-25-2024 12:54 PM

If you are already ponying up $100k for the base model, why not just straight up go for the Turbo model instead? Seems like that would be a much better bang for the buck.

JDMDreams 01-25-2024 12:56 PM

Why would you not buy a model x or s for that money?! Proven tech and super charging network

Luxury taxes do kick up quite a bit at $125k - I recall it's something like another $8k in taxes just for crossing over $125k and the total taxes at that point is something like $38k. See the 718 I have a deposit on:

For the money just get a cyber truck. If you want attention. I thought macans are for poor people who can't afford cayenne. Like a boxster. A fancy Tiguan.

bcrdukes 01-25-2024 02:08 PM

What?

HonestTea 01-25-2024 02:32 PM

That's a pretty big increase..

Gumby 01-25-2024 04:28 PM

Turbo on a EV? :fulloffuck:

beatdownvictim 01-25-2024 07:19 PM

Ffff plan was to get the macan ev(put down deposit couple of months ago) and sell my m3p but with those prices for the turbo and the taxes not sure if i can convince myself its worth it.

May just get a gas macan jeezus
