^^ and good luck selling it in the used market after warranty. I wouldn't touch a used EV with a 10 foot pole.

Almost shit my pants at Costco in Nanaimo. Saw someone driving a Vinfast VF8 in the parking lot. I can't believe someone bought one. The driver was an older Asian lady.

I saw a Fisker Ocean in Burnaby yesterday. Later on I found out about the fire sale.

I saw one of these coming up Canada way in Burnaby

So fucking typical as per that MKHB video. So it was hella overcast and dark but it was only like 5pm. Every single other car either had full head lights on or at the very least it’s DRL’s

The only reason the fisker caught my eye is that it has absolutely zero lights on whatsoever lol.. must be waiting for the firmware update to detect low light conditions

I wonder how fisker owners feel, knowing the car they bought just got discounted 40% and bankruptcy looming.

Although there were tesla owners who genuinely believed their car values will go up once they can make money doing robotaxi and they all burst into tears when their $85K model Y got discounted to $65k overnight.

I don't know if it's actually offered for sale in Canada. You can go buy one in the states, but getting shit fixed if it breaks (which is highly likely) is gonna be extremely challenging here, I don't think I've seen any store fronts for them here, nevermind if they go bankrupt there will be zero technical support.

Xiaomi SU7

720s headlights, taycan side profile and ioniq 6 taillights, looks pretty good actually

in all seriousness though, I like how they used actual door handles, physical buttons for HVAC, push button start, way more practical than some the current NA and European EVs

Apple had some stupid tech bro trying to develop “the future of automobiles” with what would probably look like some stupid fully autonomous bus thing (think canoo). Stupid ego project.

Yea, I think we all got it.

Works well enough, I was telling BadHobz, if you set it up correctly it actually drive rather aggressively.

I already used it for the past 3 days, going to and coming back from work...

No intervention needed.

I sat in my friends Model 3 with full self driving. In all honesty you can't help but be eventually complacent. If you are going to "supervise" you might as well drive the car.

Was speaking to a Polestar 2 AWD owner over the long weekend. Apparently they had a prett sweet lease deal going on for their cars at the end of 2023.

$2500 down, $500/month + tax on a 1 year lease for a Polestar 2 AWD, and that still qualifies for a small amount of EV rebate. It is not the model equipped with Ohlins suspension, since that would have put the vehicle over the price range for rebates.

If I was inbetween cars, or just looking for a commuter, I definitely wouldn't mind getting into one.

What's so stupid? $500x1.12 = $560 month x12 + $2500 = $9220 /12 = $770 a month for a year plus insurance. Can you use up your rebate on a 1 year lease? But it's life time isn't it, so you don't get discount when you really buy a ev

Drove to Kelowna in my dad's model x. From the ferry it drove by itself to Kelowna with next to no input. I could have fallen asleep. A lot less nagging to Hold wheel then before. The x had enough range to get to Kelowna without stopping according to tesla but we stopped in hope. Full charge was 35 minutes. Just enough time to eat at rickies. They had 20 tesla charges at the truck stop.
