It's a welcome change for me. My car only charges at 3.6kWh which made paid public charging more expensive than gas. I'm hoping Flo / ChargePoint follows suit since most BC Hydro Chargers are L3

Browsing the Destination Toyota site as I'm thinking about the Crown Signia and 73 out of 99 cars they have in inventory are the bZX4. I've seen a fair number of them on the road so I assumed they were selling ok but this is a pretty crazy number of cars to have in stock. Are they just piling up everywhere?

The Lexus RZ has like a 25k incentive and a $199 a month lease in the US.
Seems like BZ4X/Solterra/RZ are selling so poorly that they sent some to Canada

Just add a Borla exhaust some TE37's and air ride. Now you are set.

It's basically back to the same price it was at the beginning of the year as they raised it $1k a couple months ago or so.

I lost a client to Solterra over the weekend.

Customer straight up told me = Jacky, the Hyundai is nicer, but are you doing discounts? Subaru offered me 19K off... and I was like... err ... okay....

I mean the Bz4X, Solterra, RZ are not terrible cars, they are just not competitive at their original MSRP when VS the competition. I would say Tesla is still way ahead for someone our age going into the 1st EV experience, but if you can pad my pocket with $19K, I can overlook alot of shortcomings...

Did the customer say how the $19k is determined, like $9K government rebate + $10K from the manufacturer / dealer? Getting a base Solterra for 19k or $15k (without bc rebate) off seems pretty solid despite the specs.

The Toyota EV triplets are serviceable cars and I enjoy driving them, but the bz4x/solterra won't be my first choice in the group at MSRP. I think the RZ is priced alright in the mid-spec trim - the powertrain trade off for better creature comfort is worth it to me.

^100% it includes the 9k government rebate. The other 10k discount could be off inflated dealer markup.

it boggles my mind that some ppl (actually 2 of my coworkers) can spend almost $60k OTD for a CRV touring hybrid and a Mitsubishi outlander PHEV sounds like a lot of money.... isn't a tesla model y base model $52k OTD after rebates?

$53,700 out the door taxes and rebates in, no options

If the CRV was offered with a plugin model, then the price is some what justifiable but 60 grand for a touring hybrid is pretty steep

60?????

NGL the CRV hybrid is kinda a pos - the wind noise is so loud at city speeds I keep rolling the windows up. Plastics are cheap, electronics are basic and slow .. and you feel bumps you can't see in the road (tbh true for the Model Y too).

I'm sure the outlander is way better than the crv, it's so quiet and rides so well. Made in Japan too, not by fat unproductive Canadians

I just built one on honda's website, the highest trim, touring hybrid is 57k OTD

@Jdmdream, not sure if serious, there's so few mitsubishi on the road here at least in Canada, don't they also use Nissan's CVT? Feel like they are gonna go under or withdraw from NA within the next 10 yrs. Really don't feel confident owning any car they make. Two things that are attractive or how they attract customers, outlander phev in stock as opposed to Rav4 phev, powertrain warranty including battery -- 10yrs/160000km

The thing looks so bulbous and polarizing from the front too

I only drove a CR-V Hybrid for 15 mins but I really liked it when I had it. The previous gen made me die a little every time I heard that CVT go to work but the new one was quieter than my RDX and felt peppy enough around town. It's not a fancy car by any means but I liked the interior for what it was - nobody does practicality as well as Honda.

I'm in the market now for something like this plus the Crown Signia and some of the pricing is wild to me - Volvo dealers are mostly stocking the top of the line XC60 which, after taxes, is over $100k.

It was just 4 years ago that I paid $56k all in for my RDX and now that won't even get me a CR-V Hybrid.

Car prices have jumped significantly in the last two years. I was looking at X5 PHEV and they were 90k. It's 100+ now for a not fully loaded one.

Hmm interesting, I think most of the contrast was from driving the CR-V Hybrid immediately after getting out of a Grand Cherokee 4XE ... the # of bumps I felt was like 5X and it was louder at 50kmh than the GC at 140kmh
