Tesla does all that for you. You just type in your destination and it does the rest.

So apparently Fiskers are being sold retail out of a storefront in Adesa Auto Auction property.

Adesa just got word that Fisker decided to sell them wholesale thru the auction.

Retail was $80k, discounted $49k, so wholesale auction will probably be even less.

Road tripped a Model 3 LR, Y LR and S 75D. Yeah they're fine but the rough ride and seats make my tummy unhappy.

Throw on a roof box / winter tires / the heat and I'd imagine range does take a bit of a hit.

What has y'all experience been with the superchargers in Whistler and Squamish, are they ever full? What happens if you get stuck in one of those crash-y weekends on the way back?

The Rivian feels like a sports car while riding great and the Lucid feels like an E39. Would be much happier driving these.

IMO when driving those becomes Tesla convenient is when we're ready

The EVs don't burn that much energy if they're at near-standstill on Sea to Sky - if you already had enough range to make it back to Vancouver then getting stuck for a few hours shouldn't be a problem. West Vancouver to Whistler is 125ish km so most Teslas and longer-range EVs should be fine. I made it up to Whistler with a 250km-range EV and did a quick top up in Squamish.

I didn't have any issues with charger availability overall but I can't speak to peak-season traffic.

Sister lives in Van, drives a Model Y long Range, works in Squamish and has to drive to Whistler multiple times a month. Has zero problems with charging and saves a but ton of money not paying for gas.

You can currently use the Rivian on the Tesla Supercharger network at chargers with a magic dock or by using an adapter (like the really popular one from A2K) on a regular supercharger. From there, you just need to create an account on the Tesla app to start charging.

I went to Squamish with standard model 3, drove around Squamish a bit and still had over 100 km getting back to Burnaby. It pretty much recharges it self coming back down. Auto pilot both ways and actually got to enjoy the scenery. The car can see better with golden hour glare than I can squinting.

So for people still thinking about the 5N, lease program just came out for the car is it is actually really good. Residue on the car is crazy (2 year = 80%, so basically paying 10% per year to drive the car).

$0 down (so about $800 to "drive away" which includes 1st payment)
24 month lease
16,000KM per year
$609 biweekly including all taxes and fees

And for people who wants to buy out, sign up lease for 2 years, buy out after 1 to 2 months, 5% GST only (no lux tax, no pst).

Even if you dont have full amount. CPO rate is actually decent around 6.99% for finance.

So there you go lol.

nowadays isnt it pretty norm to have 1000+ car payment? the cheapest car on the market for leases right now is that lousy tesla model 3, and its still 800 bucks a month. you minus the gas and the government incentives and you're down to 600ish which is cheaper than a corolla.

1200 is good all things considered for such a high performance vehicle

Seems like a lot to lease a Hyundai though? People say the GR Corolla is overpriced for a Corolla and that's $510 bw taxes in for 24mo/16k lease.

It's an advertising tactic to make the payment seem lower than it is.

All used PHEVs and EVs are GST only, hence a lightly used Taycan/Rivian/Model X/or even Artura and SF90 etc etc are very attractive. Think the tax you save buying a 4,000KM SF90 VS a brand new SF90 in BC.

Obviously in today's climate, cash is still the way to go because rates are high, but if you have no choice but to finance, Biweekly is actually cheaper than Monthly if you total up the full amount you are paying. As in biweekly actually charges less interest overall.

Only a bit less of course, but hey, savings is savings lolol.

not only that, but bi-weekly also tricks you into thinking that your annual payments will be lower.

I'm sure they will tell you that in one year, you will be paying bi-weekly $ x 2 x 12 (months) in one year, but it's actually going to be bi-weekly x 26 (# of payments in one year), which is always going to be 8.3% more mathematically in total than the fake annual calculation they will tell you about.

Tesla USA dropped the Model Y RWD, introducing the Model Y RWD LR with 515km range, which will cost $2000 USD more than the old model.
