Possibly, but Lucid’s customers are also the kind of investors who’ve seen their portfolios hit hard with the recent tariffs. I imagine most are reluctant to splurge on a six-figure EV right now until the market settles. Lucid will have to stay afloat until that time comes.

How is the Taycan anyway? The Cross Turismo seems like a cool wagon.

Their big win is their wagon, charging domination (it’s not even funny how fast/consistent it is) and the badge.

The interior is hollow and I feel Lucid Air has a better driving feel.

My buddy in Calgary with the GT3 has a Taycan Turismo as his daily to replace a Model 3P he had from new... it's a pretty impressive looking vehicle. I haven't driven it, just ridden in it... but really like the styling and it seems to drive very nice with tonnes of cool features. Interior was not exotic blow you away but also way nicer and more interesting than a Tesla.

He said one of the downsides of it so far at least in Cowtown and surrounding areas is that the chargers he can use it on are often broken or not working, which can be a little disconcerting if the battery is getting lower.

Sheeeesh charging in Calgary is bad.
30 fast chargers and 5 good locations looks really challenging.

Squamish has 30+, Richmond has 50+, Surrey has 180+ fast fast chargers.
Seattle looks like it has 190.

I posted on another thread on revscence about choosing between a 2023 4S Taycan Cross Turismo and a 2025 BMW M3. One of my favorite things about the Taycan is I think it is one of the best looking vehicles currently available (especially in mamba green). The worst thing is the depreciation but that was expected when I bought it used last year with 10,000 km.

Yes! My buddy’s was slightly used as well… and by some weird paperwork screwup at the dealer he ended up getting it as Porsche certified used when it wasn’t supposed to be so he’s got bonus warranty on it too lol

I bought a $200 Lectron adaptor for our Tesla level 2 home charger for our Taycan and almost always charge at home. The charging speed with our Tesla charger is 42 km per hour for the Taycan compared to 67 km per our for our Tesla model 3 performance. I have used Electrify America for charging my Taycan (first 3 years of charging for the Taycan is free at Electrify America) in Squamish and Merritt and yes they suck compared to Tesla (only 4 stations, slow charging, and broken chargers). Fortunately with 350 km to 400 km range I have only had to charge outside of my home 3 times in the past year.

That is great your friend in Calgary got the additional 2 year CPO for free with his Taycan. The cost for the additional 2 year CPO warranty from Porsche is typically $3,200. Including CPO warranty my warranty expires in 4 years in April 2029. With all of the electronics in the Taycan I would not own it without a warranty. I read that in Canada starting 2021 the CPO is attached to the VIN so if you sell your car privately or trade to a non Porsche dealer the CPO is also transferred over.
