I saw a Roma the other day, kinda pretty, better than California but I thought it's one of those junk models that they force you to buy so you can get something good like the f12. Wouldn't you rather get a mc20, still never seen one in person but it does actually look like a super car + mid engine |

I only did a quick search on Autotrader but the cheapest I found is a 2012 for $130k in Quebec. |

So buying TAYCANs and EQSes and use them for trade-in's are finally going to be dead.... I assume this will hit the luxury market quite hard.... |

^^ I'm trying to figure this out with hybrids cuz you can't really force the engine on, but then it's constantly cold starting, and when you need power and engine kicks in you are flooring a cold engine? Must cause more wear and tear. :considered: |
Hybrids—it’s the battery that’s the real concern. Older BMW PHEVs are starting to show cascading cell failures. The engine actually sees lower load, so even motors with issues (like the Tundra’s gas V6) tend to hold up better in hybrid form. Exceptions are head gasket issue on 3rd gen Prius. • Cold starts use EV motor to circulate things w/ 0 heat • Super quick warmup with exhaust heat recovery coolant warming • Prioritizes battery drive until full warmup to reduce load on ICE engine |
not sute about BMWs, but Toyota do give you a physical button that cycles thru EV, Hybrid, Charge (running the gasoline to charge the EV battery which is uber uber uber inefficient), but yes, you can get the engine to start anytime of your choice. |

https://www.thedrive.com/car-reviews...t-drive-review https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/z...-drive-review/ https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/zeekr/7x I haven't followed Chinese EVs much but caught a bunch of reviews about the Zeekr 7x this past week. Its chassis is partly shared with the Polestar 4 so that's promising and the reviews are generally pretty positive. Amazing progress by the Chinese - wonder what tariff rate would be low enough to that they'd come to Canada and if Canada would be willing to negotiate on this. |
I really want Chinese cars, I want the wu ling. If it's ok in Europe and Australia I don't see why it's not good enough for us. |

On WeChat, we know that battery has bricked in more than a few cars so it'll take some time to iterate. |
