Lots of car salespeople are great, same with realtors… just a few give the industry a bad rep

No comment... seriously though...
Sales dont make up the rules like this car needs a trade, this car is selling over MSRP, this car has to be sold under this and that etc etc....
99% of the time, the sales is on your side, all these conditions doesnt help the sales paycheque. We rather sell the car with no strings attached, as every car sold = more pay for us.

Was looking at the federal EV rebate website
Interestingly enough, if the 2023 Toyota Prius Prime is officially rated for over 50km of EV driving, it qualifies for the full $5000 rebate.
Stack it together with the $2000 provincial rebate too

The NA version is supposed to be 10 inches longer so maybe it'll get a bigger battery but it's also quite pricey (and the single motor version is already slow in the Euro size).

Cars in Europe are typically quite slow anyways, cars taking 10s to reach 100 is quite normal. They would also be happily cruising at 160, it just takes forever to get there.

I wonder what's taking Nissan so long to come up with the Ariya, I mean they are already EV experts considering they make the leaf so they definitely know how to put together an EV compared to mb BMW. I even see lots of ix rolling around already and they are quite ugly.

FWD models are supposed to be out now and AWD models are rolling out in early 2023

I was surprised at how much I liked the Ariya in person. The exterior looks futuristic without being too edgy, and the interior was comfortable and felt upscale. It had some nifty features like an electrically-adjustable center console and a pop-out tray from the dashboard that can hold items when stationary. The whole car felt thoughtfully designed and a solid competitor to the ID4 or Ioniq5 / EV6.
I would 100% take the Ariya over the Toyota BZ4X and Lexus RZ450e that were also at the show - those 2 feel so far behind compared to what everyone else is doing in the EV space.

mr. toyoda just a month ago said he was very skeptical about EV rollout so it's a corporate culture thing
i think they were hoping to get decades out of TNGA and realized a good EV needs to be designed 100% ground up
