Honestly the byd interior materials and quality looks like it's nicer than the model 3:accepted: |
Just saw a new Prius on the road. Looks 100x better than the old model. Back end is ok, but the side profile and front look slick. |

China can make anything. From cheap bullshit to high end anything. You get what you pay for. Look at these ICrap devices. made in China… for now |
I had a rental Lynk & Co 01 when I was in Europe and it was honestly a pleasant vehicle. It had some switchgear from Volvo, a good mix of physical / touch controls, and the drive was so smooth and quiet that my mom thought it was an EV. My parents had no idea it was a Chinese vehicle until I told them. https://cdn.euroncap.com/media/64334/lynk-co-01.png |
Somebody was saying how Polestar is having another test drive day. Richmond Center - Mar 31, Apr 1 & 2 https://www.polestar.com/en-ca/test-...85vTjhseqwsHSk |

A lot of the lost cost manufacturing has already moved to India, Vietnam, Pakistan, and Indonesia. Plenty of places willing to take the slack. |

Good EV overall. I like it better than the model 3 for looks and interior. Also that google assistant integration is unreal. System is amazing, along with full google map integration... its like the best infotainment in an EV. but got some weird dislikes - cupholders are oddly placed. seems a bit too far back and one is hidden underneath the arm rest, so you basically have 1 cup holder for the front - no sunshade for the glass roof. it is tinted, but i want to occasionally block everything out and just make the cabin as dark as possible - side mirrors are small. not sure why they are shaped kind of weird as well. - keyfob is a joke for a 60k car. literally a plastic block with some cheapy buttons on it - interior is good overall but center console is really wide, when i stepped in i banged my knee against that central console. It really didnt need to be that wide as its just 2 plastic piece that juts out. - vegan seats (the non leather option) are kinda strange. While comfortable, i dont know if they'll hold up to wear. seems like they'll get "fuzzy" after a while |
It was great just randomly bumping into you Badhobz lolol I will chime in, since I own a model 3 and now have driven the volvo i mean polestar XD, interior is noticeably smaller than the 3, it is just not efficient with its use of space (interior seating, frunk and trunk... all areas are just smaller by a big margin, don't need a tape measure to notice). The orange seat belts are gimmicky, but I dig it lolol, very Porsche-esque hahahaha. The performance is fast, could be because the ground was greasy and wet, the ESC wont let you put down power for shiz They lock the ventilated seats behind the nappa leather seating option (well Tesla don't offer ventilated seats on the 3 at all), but it is a $5000 option.... I asked so what does the $5000 get you? The staff replied... well.. gets you the nappa leather (same supplier as Bently) and ventilated front seats (not even rear seats), I was like.. okay... that seems steep doesnt it? And no reply... 10 seconds later he changes the subject lolol Oh one cool thing that my Toyota does as well is that it can connect to 2 phones at once, the Tesla cant (one phone can be mine for phone calls) whereas the second one can be wifeys for her music. Overall I think the car is great, priced well against the "competition", but doesnt have anything compelling that will sway the market one way or the other. If Tesla do open up their super charger network, I think it is a strong contender in the segment. |
https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...a-cx-90-drive/ https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/2...-drive-review/ https://www.autoblog.com/2023/04/03/...-drive-review/ Reviews coming out for the CX-90. Seems like they have addressed some of the issues with how the engine kicks in on the PHEV (not entirely solved) and the ride jitters that were reported for the CX-60 have largely been resolved. Generally pretty strong reviews though. I'm very excited about the CX-70 PHEV - I had always figured that my next DD would be an EV but the CX-70 PHEV might hit all my sweet spots with little compromise (other than me not having any extra cash right now). |
I can't get past how cheesy that Inline-6 badge looks. It's awful. |
Kinda knew this was coming but ... looks like 2023 Golf R might be a collector. |

I went to the Polestar event too and I felt like the interior was tight for the front seats and the steering wheel blocks out the dash when it’s in the lowest setting where I like it to be… The plastic roof felt shitty to the touch and having no shade is a mistake even if it is tinted. Heard there is an aftermarket one though! |
The vehicle interior is tight because the chassis is based on the sun-compact XC40 SUV chassis. It’ll never have the openness of a chassis actually built for batteries. The second gen will for sure be fully optimized. |
