Smart way to save flight mileage? Hi, I have started a job recently and this job lets me travel to North America or Europe once a month. And the company booked flight tickets for me so I take random airline such as Delta, Alaska, AA, United, etc. Hence, I am obtaining quite much airline mileage and I don't want to loose them. And I am pretty sure each airline company has different mileage policy and some of them are inter-changeable between them. Does anyone know about how to maximize airline mileage usages? Thanks in advance |
It's tough when the airlines booked are random. If the airline is part of an alliance (i.e. Star Alliance - United and Air Canada are both members) you could apply all the points to the one airline (i.e. fly on United, get Air Canada points). Don't forget to check the hotels to see if they also give airmiles for your stays. |
I'd just get as many miles as you can with every airline you fly with, and sort out the most efficient way to transfer them (if possible) when you're deciding to use them. |
