nice plate too!!!

just not for me. Looks like a cracker jack toy.

VR6GTI 07-11-2017 06:35 PM

God damn that's ugly

GS8 07-11-2017 09:11 PM

Wish I had my phone on me when I saw a JDM CTR in CW in Richmond today. Maybe some of you have seen it. Last 3 digits of the license plate were JDM.

THAT car looked nice. This one looks like it got stuck while trying to transform.

tegra7 07-11-2017 09:13 PM

Looks like a WRX fucked a new civic.

unless similar plates, it's spoon.ek9's....it's a conversion and not RHD though

mb_ 07-11-2017 09:45 PM

Did you confirm if it's RHD?

If it wasn't, sounds like it's spoon.ek9

GS8 07-11-2017 09:54 PM

Oh I think subconsciously I might have thought RHD as I walked by because of how nice it looked. Had one red seat that I could see. It was bright out at the time hence my illiterate description lol.

Parked on Azure Rd Tues morning.

teggy604 07-11-2017 11:46 PM

whens the RS summer meet? Lets see how many Type Rs show up.

white rocket 07-12-2017 07:42 AM

I've seen a LHD CTR rep driving around Richmond with gunmetal ITR 15's on it. It's Type R decaled and everything. It looks REALLY clean. Perhaps that's the one begin discussed. Spoon.ek9 has the blue Cusco cage, white RG's, etc so it's a bit more noticeable.

hal0g0dv2 07-12-2017 10:22 AM

one just landed in vic, white

UnknownJinX 07-12-2017 04:59 PM

Type R has nice performance, but I can't imagine myself in one. It has too much of that boy racer vibe.

In the US, I heard someone bought the first Type R there for US$200k... Some people...

That was also for charity (Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation) so I dont really see that as too much of a surprise. You get what you want and you're helping people in need. I think its a fair trade if you have that much money to blow

tofu1413 07-12-2017 07:03 PM

My 20 year old self says yes yes yes to the new CTR. Current self says nope, you ain't a boy racer no more :okay:

Cool car nonetheless

jasonturbo 07-12-2017 07:07 PM

It's funny how many people had deposits at Honda dealers in small towns, Edson AB Honda had three deposits.

I still have a chance of getting a white one.. just waiting to hear back.

I would NEVER EVER pay over MSRP for one, this is just like the Focus RS launch, a few retards will pay over MSRP and then just a couple months after launch there will be tons of them for sale.

tegra7 07-12-2017 07:34 PM

I'm sure dealers will sell them for MSRP once they start piling up on their lots.

320icar 07-12-2017 08:29 PM

^^ same story with the RS

Oh, I didn't know the context.

Do you have a link?

And lots of sports cars as well when they were first launched, like the FR-S and FD RX-7.

Just wait and the price will drop to an acceptable level.

Well, a guy on the Accord forum I go to said he almost did when the FR-S first came out in 2013. Ended buying an Accord Coupe V6 6-speed though because it's more practical.

FR-S/BRZ/86 is pretty common, but nothing like Mustang common here. I actually wanted one, but ultimately went with an RX-8 because it has more spacious rear seats and is rarer.

teggy604 07-12-2017 11:35 PM

I thought the Type R was a limited production car? unlike the STI, Golf R, and Focus RS. So dealers wont have any on the lot. Most likely if you are not the top 3 on the waitlist you probably wont see one until a few years later.

off topic, but same deal right now with ford raptor. Dealership by my gym sold two raptors last week too a couple of Asian kids from van. They paid 12 and 13k over msrp

twitchyzero 07-13-2017 07:42 AM

the pair of raptors are probably headed for china where they'll go for 2-3x the price
srs

donjalapeno 07-13-2017 09:29 AM

Dunno how i feel about it. Its cool for sure but just to much going on. Especially the back. The wheels are ridiculously sunk too lol

ZN6 07-13-2017 09:57 AM

Does the vent or the ducts have any function to them? I'm guessing no. I have a strong dislike to shit on a car that doesn't do anything like it was a stick on vent from lordco or something.

It's like the designers wanted to make the car look super aggressive, but then the engineers said, "Fuck no, that'll let in rain, rocks and moisture and decreases the longevity of the car."

And then they decide to fake it so that it appeases the engineers and designers. Like a sound tube or engine noise through the stereo so you can hear the induction noise.
