lol craigslist good buy thread. Almost no one buys a car there. Since when was bad tires and cheap exhaust "alot of work". Price seems fair for what is needed. I think its not sold because its a long drive to get there. A lot of people don't want to drive up there and find out that the car isn't as posted.

price seems great for the km's and year of the car, i have to imagine there may be underlying issues not mentioned, for it to be at that price... i've seen older Celicas with more km's selling for more

cdizzle_996 11-30-2015 05:12 AM

If it was a good deal, it'd be sold already

tegra7 11-30-2015 08:06 AM

Someone here checked out the car. Paint is in rough shape.

twitchyzero 11-30-2015 08:21 AM

priced quite low...also odd how a-spec bumper is swapped out for mugen one and a 02-04 one at that with bugeye headlights...probably front end crash

In before this turns into official rsx-s thread.

Have you contacted the seller? Ask if there's any accidents/claims. And if you do decide to buy make sure you run a car fax report.

especially with a honda, i wouldnt be so concerned about low mileage and more concerned about signs of neglect. that particular rsx has many signs of neglect and it also experiences a winter climate which isnt good for anything.

i would much rather have a higher mileage local rsx-s that is in better shape for the same price

He says that the 1st owner which was leasing it got the front bumper damaged hence the paint and scrapes but other than that it was clean. He got it last year and he says he works in Meritt so maybe thats why it has low mileage

I added attachments for you guys to see, used motosnoop.com though I don't know if thats legit but it uses autocheck.com for the records

Ask for pictures of the frame. I don't remember if Saskatchewan uses sand or salt on their roads during winter, but it's worth seeing what it looks like underneath.

Might also be passing through Merritt in a few days. If it's still around if/when I do, I'll see about taking a quick look at it.

Okay awesome, please contact me when you do get to check it. I'm really interested in buying this car but the distance and season being winter makes it way too hard to just check out the car

The RSX Type S was a really nice car, and under appreciated by those who were too in love with the Integras. I admit the interior, especially the dash was kind of awkward, and body/shape not the greatest, but you have to move on and that's what honda gave us as the next gen. It came with the sweet K20 motor and very nice power with the Acura name on it, the Type S to me is still one of the greatest cars made by Honda! If you do it up nice, like the pics posted by twitchyzero, can still pass up as current gen acura or brand new model, looking modern and sexy at the same time!

twitchyzero 12-16-2015 10:10 PM

appearance-wise: DC2 > DC5, unless it's the 05-06 which looks the best outta the bunch imo. really subjective of course

nostalgia aside, I think enthusiasts liked the RSX but didn't love it because the lack of LSD and front double wishbone...overall just a less fun car but the K-series and interior is far superior than its predecessor.

I think if the DC5R was ever sold in North America...RSX as a whole would've often been held in a higher regard and frequently brought up in the same breath as the EK9/DC2/FD2/S2000/NSX
