3-4 day local family get a way
 

parents looking to go away for a few days and i'm having a hard time thinking of places.

end december
drive-able
should be "snowy/wintery"
not a touristy area for staying (ie. no whistler, no sunpeaks, no baff/jasper)

All I could muster up was Edmonton, but in the middle of winter :|
I'm also trying to stay away from the US cuz 1:1.33


any ideas?

the german town in the states (Leavenworth ) is a great place to go. Not as FAR as banff, but yes, it's 1.33

What exactly are they looking to do? Maybe look into lakefront cabins in the Shuswap, they shouldn't be too busy that time of year.
