Done this about twice now. you can remove it yourself but I also recommend a hand held steamer to remove the gluish gunk. but it's simple....just need alot of towels and elbow grease.
I took my car to AutoMagic in the Richmond Automall years ago. I was afraid of messing up my rear defroster. They charged me about $125 for three windows. Kinda pricey but they did a perfect job. Rear defroster still works 8 years later.
Turn on the defroster to heat up the glue and make it easier to remove. Or just use a heat gun/hair dryer and follow it up with Goo Gone to get rid of the residue. Note that GG seems to work best if you let it sit for a while before trying to remove it.

peel the tint off and use a razor blade to scrape off the glue. make sure its a brand new blade and it will not scratch the windows. use something like invisible glass as lubricant as well. as for the rear window with defroster lines ull need to use something to melt the glue as u cant scrap the window due to the heating elements

Slow and steady, best advice is that if you're seeing gunk left behind STOP! Heat the glass up more.
I hate tint, I've removed it probably a dozen times now. Jut heat the glass up with a heat gun or even a small butane torch on the outside of the glass and apply some tension to a lifted edge and wait for it to start peeling back nice and easy, you want to remove it like a band aid, peel, don't pull.
PS: For any gunk you get left with, remove with a flat razor just make sure you don't dig the edges of the blade into the glass, keep it flat, even pressure.
