Drove through Porsche Edmonton today, nice yellow gt4 in the lot, they so pretty, love the couple of used 997 turbos for sale too

jasonturbo 09-10-2016 06:12 PM

I really don't like the look of the GT4 from the rear, it's just missing those big fat 911 hips.

Looks great from the front though :)

Probably go clean the GT4 tomorrow, maybe snap some pics incase I decide to sell it.

Looks like temptation won.

Since you owned the ITR for longer, it is clearly the superior vehicle. I'll be generous and do a straight up trade... my itr (champ white Canadian car) for your GT4. :hotbaby:

jasonturbo 09-14-2016 02:22 PM

Kinda don't care whether or not it sells... actively searching for the "just right" E92 M3...

give it to me (m3), ill keep it longer

jasonturbo 09-14-2016 05:30 PM

Never should have sold my E46, all my GF's fault, stoopid fucking hooman.

No calls on the GT4 yet, hype is dead lol

SkunkWorks 09-14-2016 06:05 PM

Someone will buy it eventually. Both PCV and PCL have theirs at 149.

Kinda ironic that the gain on this could almost get you that old E46 back :/ Such is life...

Mr.Money 09-15-2016 02:40 AM

the insanity makes me laugh and confused....Sexy NSX...Latest GT4 - it doesn't make me fully happy,i want something else.

Fuck these high maintenance supermodels,i want a simple Surrey girl that does more for less :troll:

jokes.

The more money you have and the easier things come, the less satisfying these things tend to be, I think that's part of the issue for me.

I'm excited to cut down to one vehicle (well, two, but work truck doesn't count) and just not spend time cleaning 4 vehicles, not pay insurance on 4 vehicles, not have to find/pay for parking for 4 vehicles, etc

We're moving back to Van in November, excited to just have one car that works all year and will be fun to drive around town or to NorCal etc

E9x M3 is the car I should have bought new to my specs in 2013, oops.

prolepsis 09-18-2016 10:02 AM

jasonturbo: perhaps it's the journey/process that you like rather than the destination but I think you already know that.

I have an E92 M3 and 987.2 Cayman and when switching between them, the M3 is much more comfortable but you can feel the higher weight. I prefer cars ~3000 lbs or so, but do enjoy each for their specific focus--M3 luxury with sport; Cayman sport first.

Am backwards to you as a GT4 is an aspirational purchase/goal, but the used market mark up is too high currently. If the next GT4 is still NA, then I can see the market softening. If the next GT4 isn't NA, then who knows.

jasonturbo 09-18-2016 01:32 PM

I think GT4 values will come down in the very near future, they cranked quite a few more cars off the assembly line towards the end of the production run - lots of them for sale.

I would rather be shopping for road bikes than cars at this point, I was out in the GT4 briefly today and it wasn't at all enjoyable with the Sunday traffic.

Dropped my price to 139.9K, there are two Porsches for sale at dealers in Quebec right now for roughly 140K, can't really be priced higher than the dealers when you're selling privately.

westopher 09-18-2016 02:39 PM

150k for one in white over here. Its been for sale for about 6 months it seems. I'd be much more inclined to buy yours. Unfortunately, I'm saving up about 2 dollars a day for an e36 suspension bushing overhaul, so I'm not really a player in the market.

Finding it hard to follow through with selling the GT4 :s

Mr.Money 10-01-2016 07:01 PM

throw it in insured storage a few years with fluids drained and i bet you can profit some,They are limited numbers even though you say they pumped a few more out end of the year...i'm Sure somebody in 3-4 years will pay for a low km GT4 in a desirable color.

Digitalis 10-01-2016 07:22 PM

One car for everything? I'd take a c63 amg awd wagon.

Don't forget that dealers can offer CPO warranties while private sellers can't. Good luck with sale.

jasonturbo 10-14-2016 06:20 AM

Car had extended Porsche warranty equivalent to CPO ;) (6 year)

jasonturbo 10-14-2016 12:32 PM

So I can sell the GT4 for a small profit or return it to the dealer at break even with a commitment of sorts that I get a 991.2 GT3 allocation...

Decisions decisions...

DGN23 10-14-2016 03:41 PM

Easy decision. 991.2 GT3.

bcuzracecarz 10-14-2016 05:09 PM

Gt3 would be incredible, would love to have that decision....I'm over here deciding between eating or putting gas in my car

Why get the gt3? So you can come complain on RS some more about how you are too much of a pussy for it while it sits in your underground parking in Edmonton while you vape in front of it?
Sell the gt4, buy an e92 and move out of that shithole already.
