Which FSR/road did you guys go to? It looks fun.

did at least 50-60km of logging roads this weekend past Pemberton. so glad i haven't lowered my car yet. on compact clay i was able to hold 80km/h but once it became loose sharp gravel it was down to 40km/h. eventually had to park it and hop into my buddies jeep to do the rest of the 100km of gravel lol

For those of you enjoying FSRs, the Heart of Darkness TSD rally is coming up soon, and you don't need any special gear to do it. RBC - Heart of Darkness for more info.

The rally will be about 500 km long, entirely within the province of BC, and will start with an odometer check section of approximately 25 km. Roads will be 20% paved and 80% gravel.

It can get a little rough and the speeds can be pretty high, tall tires and some simple skid plates are recommended but not required.

Don't think trucks are allowed otherwise I'd be all over this.

Just feels that way because all the power comes in so early. On both EcoBoost engines you get 90% of your torque at only 2,200rpm. On the 2.7L you will get the full 375lbs/tq at just 3,000rpm and on the 3.5L you will get the full 420lbs/tq at a stupid 2,500rpm. Brokeback

First pic of it not in a shop or on a tow truck potato or not. Own both spots not a bad park job.

Edit to add pic and not double post

This seems really cool, my gf loves to take her Jeep offroading. I will pass this on! How difficult would you say it will be for a stock TJ?

A stock TJ should be able to handle it without any difficulty what so ever. If you have the optional BFG tires it's fine. If you have the lower model Bridgestone duelers, there is a higher chance of a sharp rock puncture. Just make sure your spare is aired up, and maybe have a temporary plug kit/mini compressor with you

I'd double check with the rallymaster but I re-read the regs and there's nothing in there excluding trucks so it should be fine, I used my Jeep Cherokee for Thunderbird (similar event) in 2015 and one of the sweep trucks was a Cherokee with a 4" lift.

A TJ shouldn't have any problems, in the few events I've done I've seen an MR2, a Fit, a Mitsubishi Pajero Evo, a Mustang, a Cayenne, etc etc. I'm trying to bring my Celica this year but my stock Cherokee will be the backup if I can't get it ready in time.

Had an issue with the AC. It was fixed under warranty. Other than that, it's been totally reliable. However, I'ver only drove it 4,800 miles so far.
