I bent one of my wheels over the summer hitting a pothole at 50km/h. In front of burquitlam plaza when they were doing the road work there. Put a flat spot in it but can't feel it while driving so, meh.

Was up at Burnaby Mountain park for dineout @ Horizons. Snapped a couple of quick ones with my friend's camera.

I gotta ask, If you had to pick one, which one would you prefer? Dollars aside.

For me, definitely the SC. The 993 is amazing and all, but the older cars just require so much more finesse and skill to drive properly. You can't just slam through the gears, you've to gently nudge one way with a firm hand. Just so much more rewarding.

That said, I'm actually going to be listing one or both up soon to pick up a GT3 and join the ranks of jasonturbo and z3guy...

Z3guy 01-25-2016 08:25 AM

Skunkworks, your 993 is drool worthy! Get any GT3, you can't go wrong, even a 996! Pricing is crazy though.....I think the best value GT3 right now is a 997.2 GT3, not RS. There is a really nice silver one for sale in AB with R88s. Good luck with your search.

TouringTeg 01-25-2016 09:01 AM

I can't blame you. I love my 993 but once you drive a GT3 it gets in your blood. :high:

It grows on you big time. My old E36 was the most Grandma of all BMW's. 4 door, similar colour and automatic! I still really loved it, and it was straight up classy when modified correctly! I love the colour now.

You got that right.
Overtime i realize the color turned out to be a good thing since barely any one mod this color and in my car/class i dont think ive seen a modified 1er with this color aswell. :ifyouknow:

Last thing i want is to have a twin looking car or lots of look alike!
Main reason i like to buy a stock car is so i can make it my own

Did some work on Crush yesterday. Didn't take any pictures of the work though. (custom kick panels with cutouts for 5 1/4" speakers, and put some finishing touches on the Retrosound stereo).

I then took him out for a trip to Point Roberts to pick up his new lightweight harmonic balancer complete with trigger wheel for electronic ignition. Hadn't been driven in months. Poor guy.

The sunny days have been way too damn cold, littered with salt. Never thought i'd catch myself saying that in Vancouver.

I get out when I can, insured year round unlike the rest of the BC Datsun crowd. ha
